Video shows DC cops HELPING Capitol rioters and posing for selfies

An Ohio congressman charged with funding the Capitol Police vowed Wednesday to launch an investigation into how hundreds of President Trump supporters were able to storm U.S. Capitol buildings and run riot. Rep. Tim Ryan said that he believed there were some 'strategic mistakes from the very beginning' after videos emerged on social media that appeared to show officers taking aside barriers for demonstrators and even taking selfies with them. He promised that Capitol Police would face imminent firings for the 'embarrassment' that was their response to the 'attempted coup'.   'I think it's pretty clear that there's going to be a number of people who are going to be without employment very, very soon,' Ryan said, 'because this is an embarrassment — both on behalf of the mob and the president, and the insurrection and the attempted coup, but also the lack of professional planning and dealing with what we knew was going to occur.' NHS staff sickness rates caused by coronavirus are FOUR TIMES higher than in September as nearly 10% of frontline medics are now off work with half of absences linked to Covid

The number of NHS staff off sick or self-isolating due to coronavirus has almost quadrupled since September, leaked figures reveal. As many as 46,400 doctors and nurses are currently off work because of the virus, reports The Independent, which is almost four times as high as the 12,382 reported on September 2. Overall, almost one in 10 staff (8.6 per cent) were off in the most recent available NHS figures – a total of 95,500 – with around half of them linked to Covid-19. This includes people infected with the virus themselves or those who have to self-isolate because they have been in contact with a confirmed case.    NHS England said staff members are asked to isolate for 10 days after coming into contact with a positive patient when not wearing PPE, to stop the virus spreading. It comes amid warnings London's hospitals could be overwhelmed by spiralling Covid admissions in less than two weeks even in a best case scenario.  The chief of the capital's NHS Vin Diwakar delivered

Democracy defiled: Trail of destruction left inside US Capitol after Donald Trump's mob trashed offices, vandilized statues of America's heroes and looted Nancy Pelosi's lectern as lawmakers cowered in terror

Shocking images today revealed the trail of destruction inside the US Capitol after hundreds of Donald Trump's mob ransacked the seat of American democracy to demand Joe Biden's election be overturned. Lecterns piled like trash, windows smashed, statues of heroes vandalized, dossiers strewn across office floors and telephones ripped from the walls lay among the tattered signage of the president's rabble: 'Treason', said one banner, 'Stop the Steal,' another. Trump finally accepted his fate this morning after Vice President Mike Pence ended his desperate campaign to overturn the election by certifying Biden's win before Congress in the early hours of Thursday. Congressmen were seen down on their knees today picking up debris alongside police officers as dawn broke on the carnage that left four dead in Washington DC and terrified lawmakers who hid in their rooms and under seats in the chamber.
