Parents of autistic teenager sue Louisiana police for killing 16-year-old after sitting on him for a total of NINE minutes after they were called to a shopping center parking lot where he was hitting and biting his father

The parents of a 16-year-old severely autistic boy have filed a federal lawsuit against members of a Louisiana sheriff's department after they allegedly sat on their son for a total of nine minutes - the act of which lead to his death a year ago. According to the federal lawsuit, deputies from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office sat on the shackled, obese teen, Eric Parsa, for a total of nine minutes. They put a chokehold on him for part of that time, the lawsuit says.  The suit claims the sheriffs deputies used excessive force against the developmentally-disabled boy, without taking the appropriate steps to make sure he could breathe while he was being restrained.  A police officer is seen kneeling over autistic teen Eric Parsa, 16, while his mother Donna Lou (in red) and father Daren Parsa help restrain the boy during an episode Eric is pictured with his parents, Daren Parsa and Donna Lou . 'What the hell's the matter with you?' Joe Biden blames GOP reps who refused to wear masks in Capitol safe room for giving COVID to four Democrats including a cancer survivor

President-elect Joe Biden tore into the group of Republican lawmakers who refused to wear masks as the Capitol was being mobbed last week. 'It was shocking to see members of Congress, while the Capitol was under siege by a deadly mob of thugs, refusing to wear a mask while they were in a secure location,' Biden said Friday in Wilmington.  'What the hell is the matter with them?' the incoming president asked. 'Time to grow up.' 'The result?' Biden continued. 'At least four members of Congress today, including a cancer survivor, now have COVID-19 who were in those rooms.' 'For God's sake,' Biden added.  He also scoffed at President Donald Trump turning mask-wearing into a politicized issue. 'What a stupid, stupid thing for it to happen,' Biden commented. And he applauded the efforts of his home state congresswoman, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, who was seen in footage from that day trying to hand out masks to a group that included

Care homes face longer wait for coronavirus vaccine as 'unstoppable' new strain rips through the sector

The deadline for vaccinating care home residents appeared to be delayed again last night even as a surge of outbreaks ripped through the sector. The Department of Health said last night it was on track to offer jabs to the most vulnerable in care homes by the end of the month. But that represented a week's slippage on NHS England's promises this week that the rollout would be completed by January 24 'at the latest'. Another week's delay would be a huge blow to fearful families who said they were living in terror after Covid outbreaks in homes more than tripled in three weeks. It comes as a care boss – who lost more than ten residents to a devastating outbreak – claimed the new variant is 'unstoppable'. Britain's vaccination programme is ahead of schedule after more than 300,000 jabs were delivered in a single day. Some 3.2million doses have now been doled out Boris Johnson said last night that almost 40 per cent of Britain's care residents had had th

Three Capitol Police officers have described being beaten, tasered with bear mace and having their weapons ripped from them by the MAGA mob who shouted they wanted to 'kill them with their own guns' last Wednesday.  Michael Fanone, 40, Christina Laury and 32-year-old Daniel Hodges were among the Capitol cops who were overpowered by the mob on January 6.  On Thursday, they spoke at a press conference to share details of how the rioters beat them after breaking in to the Capitol Building while the House certified the election result.  Fanone, a father-of-four, told how the rioters tried to grab his gun and yelled: 'Kill him with his own gun!'  'We weren’t battling 50 or 60 rioters in this tunnel. We were battling 15,000 people.  'It looked like a medieval battle scene,' Fanone said. He and his colleagues rushed to the Capitol after hearing an urgent call for back-up on the radio.  He was among the few cops who tried to defend the West Terrace.   Scroll down fo

French computer programmer, 35, dies in suspected suicide as it's revealed he donated more than $500,000 in Bitcoin to far-right activists involved in MAGA riot including one pictured on steps of the Capitol who got $250,000

A French computer programmer transferred more than $500,000 in Bitcoin to far-right activists just before his death last month, including some involved in last week's U.S. Capitol riot, officials said Friday. The 35-year-old Frenchman scheduled an alleged suicide note to post on his personal blog the next day and his December 8 death was confirmed by one of his relatives to French site 20 Minutes.      The suicide note revealed he was chronically ill and wanted to leave his wealth to 'certain causes and people' as he lamented 'unprecedented civil liberties violations' stemming for the COVID-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests.  Chainalysis, a firm that investigates Bitcoin transactions, found that the majority of the 22 transactions to 18 wallets on December 8 went to Nick Fuentes, a far-right internet influencer.  Fuentes was in the crowd in Washington D.C. but has denied being part of the deadly mob that stormed the Capitol. linked the Bitcoi
