Lil’ Kim sues lawyer: Rift over endorsement deal

Lil’ Kim Lil’ Kim is suing her lawyer and business partner for $1 million, claiming that she was swindled her out of endorsement money. The Brooklyn-born rapper filed the lawsuit against Sunny Bakrats on Friday. She claims that Bakrats, along with friend Andrew Ro, robbed her of “valuable trademark and branding rights” in regard to liquor, makeup, and fashion endorsements. Lil’ Kim said that Bakrats promised he “multimillion dollar deals for [Kim’s] brands in the cosmetic and perfume business,” but failed to back up his claims. Bakrats sees it differently. He said that Lil’ Kim just wanted to get out of a contract, saying her lawsuit was just “another frivolous attempt by Lil’ Kim and her attorneys to get out of what is otherwise a binding agreement.” Sunny predicted that the judge would throw out Lil’ Kim’s lawsuit. $250,000 subway typo: Over 80,000 Maps misprints A $250,000 subway typo is causing some major issues for the New York transit authority today. On March 9, the New York Post reported that brand new signs had to be taken down and thrown away after someone realized that the fare amounts on them were incorrect. This is costing a lot of money for the MTA and it caused major mayhem this week when workers were urgently ordered to stop distributing the maps. "They’re very embarrassed about this. They were frantically calling the booths trying to get these maps back," a transit source said. Apparently the Transit Workers Union Local 100 made the mistake, and printed over 80,000 maps with the wrong information on them. The $250,000 subway typo won't be rectified until later this week. According to the report, new maps won't be distributed until March 15. Many people have the maps containing the wrong information and they may get a surprise when they learn that the fares li

Bernard Hopkins broke his own record by becoming the oldest man to win a world title, at age 48, in Saturday's unanimous decision over Tavoris Cloud. Add another name to Bernard Hopkins' list of victims. Hopkins became the oldest boxer to win a major title on Saturday night, scoring a 12-round unanimous decision over Tavoris Cloud to claim the IBF light heavyweight championship. "It feels good. It feels real good," Hopkins said. "I'm going to Junior's (Restaurant and) I'm going to have cheesecake." The 48-year-old Hopkins broke the record he set by beating Jean Pascal for the WBC light heavyweight title on May 21, 2011. When asked which fight meant more, Hopkins said "tonight was better. The site of a US killer drone attack in North Waziristan, Pakistan Two people have been killed in a US assassination drone strike in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan. According to local media reports, the attack was carried out on Sunday when the killer drone fired two missiles at a house in Muhammad Khel village of Tehsil Boya area in North Waziristan. Pakistan’s tribal regions are attacked by the US drones almost regularly, with Washington claiming that militants are the targets. However, casualty figures clearly indicate that civilians are the main victims. The killing of Pakistani civilians, including women and children, has strained relations between Islamabad and Washington. On January 7, eight people were killed in similar attacks in the village of Haiderkhel in the Miranshah district of North Waziristan.
