Naked bathers flee fire, Several naked bathers were recently forced to flee a fire in a Chinese bathhouse. Authorities said the blaze that ripped through a bathhouse in Leqing, Zhejiang province spread so rapidly that many people didn’t have a chance to put on their clothes. This caused several nude bathers to run out onto the street as fire consumed the building. “One minute I was soaking in the tub, the next I could smell smoke and hear screams. There was no time to get my clothes. I just ran for my life,” one naked bather who fled the fire explained. One person reportedly died in the blaze that consumed the bathhouse in China. Six people were injured as a result of the fire. Officials believe the problem started in a neighboring apartment. Reports indicate that the blaze soon spread the the rest of the block. This ultimately forced several naked people to flee from the bathhouse as the smoke and fire filled the building. “A gas pipe fractured in an apartment kitchen which then exp

Crash Kills 6, Injured 9

Crash Kills 6, A crash killed 6 people and injured 9 others in Texas after police chased a truck said to be crammed with undocumented immigrants. Police said there were 15 people in the truck that slammed into a security barrier at a Navy facility in Texas. Ten people were in the truck’s cab while another five were under a tarp in the truck’s bed, said John Gagne, spokesman for Naval Air Station Kingsville. The chase started late on Wednesday when the pickup sped past an officer at the base’s man gate, prompting a chase from police. Guards at the base put a pop-up barrier outside a second security post, and the GMC truck slammed into it at full speed, causing the crash the killed 6. Police said that wasn’t the intention. “That’s exactly what the barrier is designed to prevent,” Gagne said, referring to the driver’s behavior. “It’s quite possible this guy didn’t even know where he was.” At close to 12:33 am, the Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of the crash

300 guns seized

300 guns seized, An arsenal of more than 300 guns, many of them illegal, has been seized from a Long Island home around the corner from a high school, and the homeowner was arrested, authorities said Thursday. Jay Steiner, 66, was arrested in late January after an undercover Suffolk police officer visited his Centereach home. Steiner has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and is free on bail. "Wow!" said one surprised neighbor. "That's a lot of guns. It's scary." Police were acting on a tip from a gun owner who had taken his weapon to Steiner, said Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota. "The guns were stored all throughout the house," said Spota, as he stood in front of a table filled with the seized weapons. In all, 85 illegal handguns and 230 rifles and shotguns were found, as well as thousands of rounds of ammunition. "He had more firepower than the detectives who arrested him," said Spota. Investigators said Steiner h

Millionaire 420 square feet

Millionaire 420 square feet, In television news, NBC’s the “Today” show featured a millionaire’s 420 square feet home. And what’s especially crazy is that the owner of the home is a millionaire who has recently decided to seriously downsize. Graham Hill sold a tech start-up before the age of 30 for millions of dollars. And afterward, he wanted to enjoy the good life. That included buying a massive living space, filling it up with everything he could ever desire, and living what most rich people consider to be the good life. But in his TV interview, Hill suggested that that lifestyle wasn’t satisfying. In fact, he referred to it as wasteful. Now, Hill is living a much more simple life. And the millionaire 420 square feet home is exactly what Hill is looking for—less clutter and less material possessions to have to account for. “It’s easier to find things. It’s just overall simpler,” says Hill on the “Today” show. Walking around his very small, tight home, Hill is legitimately happy. H

New Pepsi bottle

New Pepsi bottle, Pepsi is rolling out a new shape for its 20-ounce bottle for the first time in about 17 years. The new bottle has a contoured bottom half that appears easier to grip, and the wraparound label is shorter so that more of the drink is exposed. The change follows a number of splashy moves in the past year by PepsiCo to improve results for its namesake soda, including a multiyear deal to sponsor the Super Bowl halftime show and a wide-ranging deal with pop star Beyonce. PepsiCo Inc., based in Purchase, N.Y., has been working to revitalize the brand after losing market share to Coca-Cola Co. in recent years. Andrea Foote, a PepsiCo spokeswoman, said the new 20-ounce bottle is part of the company's ongoing update of marketing and packaging materials for the cola. The single-serve bottles, which are widely sold in coolers at drugstores and other retailers, will begin rolling out in April. The new shape will also be used for the 16-ounce bottles, which aren't as commo
