Charlie Wilson dies , Ohio Democratic Party says former Congressman Charlie Wilson, who represented southeastern Ohio in Washington for two terms after winning a write-in campaign, has died. He was 70. Democratic Party officials say Wilson died Sunday afternoon in a Florida hospital from complications of a stroke he suffered in February. Before being elected to Congress, Wilson served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1997 to 2005. He then served two years in the Ohio Senate before winning his first congressional campaign in 2006, filling the seat vacated by Gov. Ted Strickland. Wilson had failed to gather enough petition signatures to qualify for the state's primary, requiring him to run as a write-in. He lost bids for Congress in 2010 and 2012. Wilson had suffered a stroke in February while vacationing with his family and was recovering at a rehabilitation center, Democratic Party officials said. Kevin Hart arrested , Authorities say comedian Kevin Hart has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after his black Mercedes nearly collided with a tanker truck on a Southern California freeway. California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs says Hart appeared intoxicated when he was pulled over before dawn Sunday on Highway 101 in Los Angeles. Hart failed a field sobriety test, was booked for misdemeanor DUI, and held on a $5,000 bond. Actor and comedian Kevin Hart was arrested early Sunday morning (April 14) on suspicion of DUI after he nearly slammed into a gas tanker while speeding on a freeway, according to the celebu-site TMZ. The CHP told TMZ that officers spotted Hart driving a black Mercedes on the 101 Freeway at around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The CHP said he was “driving erratically,” “going 90 miles per hour,” and that he “almost collided with a gas tanker truck.” The CHP says when they pulled Hart over, he showed “objective signs of intoxication” and was “unable to perform

Starbucks cutting prices? The world’s largest coffee shop operator, Starbucks has announced that it will lower its prices on the Starbucks and Seattle’s best brand packaged coffees by around 10 percent. The price decrease will see the coffee dropping from $9.99 to $8.99 of a 12 ounce bag of Starbucks coffee. Jim Olson who is a spokesman for the Seattle based company, said in an interview that the Seattle’s best prices could drop by 13 percent to $6.99 from $7.99. The price drop will actually enhance the value that they already provide to existing customers and at the same time hopefully increase the frequency at which the purchase the Starbucks packaged coffee. The drop should also entice a range of new customers to the chain which announced huge profits in the last quarter. The price drop actually means that Starbucks will be required to sell up to 65 percent more of the 12 ounce bags of coffee in order to turn over the same amount of profit however the store has a strategy

Florida van crash

Florida van crash , A crash on the Florida turnpike left one person dead and 18 injured when the driver of a church van lost control, causing the vehicle to roll several times. The van had a tire problem at close to 7:10 pm on Saturday, said Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes. This caused the driver to lose control, and as the van flipped a 46-year-old woman from North Miami was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The van’s driver, Willem Camille, was also seriously injured. The van is owned by a non-profit youth-development group based out of Miami. It was being used to transport a church group on a mission trip, police said. An investigation showed that there were 19 or 20 people in the van, and all were taken to local hospitals, five by medical helicopter and the others by ambulance. The crash on the Florida Turnpike was not the only major traffic accident to take place in the Sunshine State over the weekend. On Friday evening, five people were killed in Interstate
