'Hotel heaven': Hostel for the homeless soars to top 100 of TripAdvisor's

With its peeling paint and windows covered with wire mesh, the Bellgrove Hotel in Glasgow city centre doesn't exactly ooze luxury. But according to travel website TripAdvisor, the homeless hostel is one of the country's finest establishments after jokers inundated the hotel's page with five-star reviews. The prank saw the Bellgrove soar into one of Britain's leading 100 hotels after users left descriptions of outstanding spa and pool facilities and fine cuisine. Misleading: The Bellgrove Hotel in Glasgow is a shelter for a homeless but ended up with a listing on TripAdvisor User gordy682, from Dublin, posted a review under the headline 'Pure Joy'. It read: 'Great hotel, friendly staff and a very warm welcome. Excellent food and room service with a smile. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. Central location near town centre. Showing perfect patience and poise, the three-year-old dog can balance a range of every day items on his face. Indian mother and young daughter 'gang-raped in revenge attack over son's dishonour'

A mother and her young daughter have allegedly been gang-raped by six men 'in revenge' for dishonour to one of the attacker's relatives. Police said that the men raped the women in the Champaran district of Bihar, northern India because the mother's son had eloped with one of their sisters. It is believed that the victims were kidnapped from Sariswa village and taken to one of the attacker's houses. The BBC once again faces questions over product placement of top clothing brands on news programmes after two presenters were seen wearing the same £550 jacket in the same bulletin. Two fuel barges explode in Alabama injuring three but rescue crews

Fires aboard two fuel barges in Alabama's Mobile River that left three people critically injured after a fireball and several explosions lit the night sky have been allowed to naturally burn out. Fire and rescue crews with the Coast Guard were responding to two explosions and a fire at the natural gas barges when a third explosion occurred on Wednesday night. A fourth explosion was then reported just before 10pm local time.
