In a new clip of the three-part reunion, Denise Richards is seen taking most of the heat from her co-stars - particularly Lisa Rinna - and ends up dramatically walking out of the chat, filmed at their respective homes in LA.  In what can only be described as the Zoom call from hell, the reunion quickly descends into chaos as Denise, 49, and Lisa, 57, lock horns once again over her alleged affair with Brandi Glanville, which the Wild Things actress has vehemently denied.  Housewives at war! Lisa Rinna and Denise Richards hash it out in the latest clip from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with the virtual reunion airing tonight on Bravo 'Denise, you lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie,' Lisa tells her in the clip, as Denise calls the group 'vicious' and 'mean.'  The row appeared to be about how Denise has been upse

Chiefs' defense gets tough practice test: their own offense

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Andy Reid always has been an offensive-minded coach, preferring to draw up plays on the beach near his California home, or on a white board in training camp, or even on a napkin during dinner, over trying to figure out how to stop someone. Reid leaves most of that to Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. And does Spags ever have his job cut out for him. During this most atypical of training camps, when a slow ramp-up replaced any preseason games, the Chiefs have found themselves going first-team offense against first-team defense quite a bit. The result? Spagnuolo and Co. are forced to get ready for the opener Sept. 10 against Houston while facing one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL, which in turn is trying to shred the Chiefs defense as Patrick Mahomes and the rest of them are fine-tuning themselves. "Day-in and day-out we're competing with one of the best offenses in the league," Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones said. &

Huawei, ZTE lose patent appeal cases at UK Supreme Court

LONDON - Britain´s Supreme Court has dismissed two appeals by Chinese telecoms firms Huawei and ZTE over mobile data patent disputes. The disputes center on the licensing of patented technology considered essential to mobile telecoms. The patents are meant to ensure fair competition and access to technology like 4G. In the first case, Unwired Planet, an intellectual property company that licenses patents, had brought legal action against Huawei for infringement of five U.K. patents that Unwired acquired from Ericsson. The second appeal concerned legal action brought by another patent licensing company, Conversant Wireless, against Huawei and ZTE for infringement of four of its U.K. patents. The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld lower court rulings on the cases and dismissed appeals by Huawei and ZTE. In a statement, Conversant said the ruling was a landmark judgment that will have "significant implications worldwide" for telecommunications patent licensing. The ruling meant

North Carolina sues over federal decision on seismic testing

RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina sued the federal government Wednesday to block an attempt at seismic testing off the state's Atlantic coast to measure for oil and gas deposits, saying a U.S. agency's decision was unlawful. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration overrode in June objections by state Division of Coastal Management to the seismic activity WesternGeco LLC wants to conduct. In a federal lawsuit filed by Attorney General Josh Stein's office, the state says NOAA erred by declaring the testing would "further the national interest"and would have "minor, localized and temporary" effects on the coast. Stein and fellow Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper oppose offshore drilling. "North Carolinians have made their views crystal clear: We do not want drilling off our coast," Stein said in a news release. "I am going to court to fight on their behalf." Many Republican state legislators support offshore exploration, saying deposi

Socceroo Boyle signs new Hibernian deal

Socceroos winger Martin Boyle has agreed terms on a new three-year contract with Scottish Premier League side Hibernian. Boyle who joined the Edinburgh club in 2015 has become a key member of a Hibs side that have got off to a flying start to the new season, sitting in second spot on the table, only behind Rangers on goal difference. The 27-year-old has bounced back well from a serious knee injury that kept him out of last year's Asian Cup campaign and his current deal was due to expire next June. "I'm really pleased to have signed the new contract and it's no secret what the club means to me and my family," Boyle told the Hibernian official website. "I was in the away dressing room at Easter Road earlier for some photography. "The last time I was there was 10 years ago as a Montrose player. It's been some journey since, and I still think my best years are ahead of me. "We've given ourselves something to build on for the rest of the season a

France sends reform roadmap to crisis-ridden Lebanon

By Laila Bassam BEIRUT, Aug 26 - French President Emmanuel Macron has sent a roadmap to Lebanese politicians outlining political and financial reforms needed to unlock foreign aid and rescue the country from multiple crises including an economic meltdown. The two-page "concept paper" delivered by the French ambassador to Beirut, and seen by Reuters, laid out detailed measures, many of them long demanded by foreign donors. They include an audit of the central bank, appointment of an interim government capable of enacting urgent reforms, and early legislative elections within a year. A French Foreign Ministry official declined comment. Macron's Elysee office did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment. Lebanon's now-caretaker government, which took office in January with the support of the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement and its allies, failed to make progress in talks with the International Monetary Fund for a bailout due to inaction on reforms and a

Namibia Apartheid politician turned independence advocate dies of COVID-19

By Nyasha Nyaungwa WINDHOEK, Aug 26 - Dirk Mudge, a white Namibian who began his political life with the pro-Apartheid National Party but later lobbied for Namibia's independence from South African white-minority rule, has died after contracting COVID-19, aged 92. He died in a hospital in the capital Windhoek late on Tuesday. A polarising figure, Mudge's opponents accused him of delaying Namibia's independence from neighbour South Africa by setting up a 1975-77 national conference. It aimed to make small reforms that would appease Namibia's indigenous population and prevent a full-scale independence war with rebels. Namibia, a former German colony, had been run by South Africa since World War I, when the latter was under British imperial rule. It only achieved independence in 1990, nearly six decades after Britain relinquished control of South Africa, whose settler Afrikaner community went on to create Apartheid. Mudge joined the Namibian branch of the white nationalis

GRAINS-U.S. soy futures rise on fresh China sale; wheat firm, corn eases

By Mark Weinraub CHICAGO, Aug 26 - U.S. soybean futures rose to their highest level in more than seven months on Wednesday with stepped-up demand from China and dry weather threatening to cut Midwest yields supporting prices for a third day in a row, traders said. Corn eased on technical selling and profit-taking after rising to a multi-week high on Tuesday, while wheat firmed for the ninth time in 10 sessions, recovering from early weakness on short-covering and technical buying. Private exporters reported the sale of 400,000 tonnes of soybeans to China for delivery in the 2020/21 marketing year, the U.S. Agriculture Department said Wednesday morning. Additionally, hot and dry weather across the Midwest raised concerns about the soybean crop as it nears the end of the key development phase following near-perfect weather throughout planting and early growth stages. "The dynamics have shifted," said Dan O'Bryan, a risk management specialist and broker at Top Third Ag Mark

'Keep their names out of your stinking unbrushed mouths': Furious Ian Wright attacks racists targeting Alex Scott and other black and female pundits after Sky Sports sacked 'middle-aged white guys' Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas and Matt Le Tissier

Ian Wright has hit out at the 'racially driven' abuse of black and female pundits following Sky Sports' decision to sack Matt Le Tissier, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas from their positions on Soccer Saturday. It was revealed on Wednesday that the trio, who have been longstanding pundits on the hugely popular programme hosted by Jeff Stelling, have been axed ahead of the coming season.   Following the announcement many users on Twitter suggested that the likes of Micah Richards, Alex Scott and Clinton Morrison could be considered as candidates to replace them, with some individuals stating that they wouldn't be happy if such a scenario occurred.  Former Arsenal striker Wright addressed those comments during a video that he posted on Twitter and slammed the 'racism that is going through the roof today.' Wright, who was so exercised by the comments on social media he pulled his car over to respond said:   'Can somebody just answer me this: What does Micah

Pandemic stresses massive Hurricane Laura evacuations in Texas, Louisiana

By Jennifer Hiller and Liz Hampton HOUSTON/DENVER, Aug 26 - A hurried evacuation of a half million Texas and Louisiana residents ahead of Hurricane Laura has clogged highways, while COVID-19 precautions slowed public transportation for evacuees who needed it and complicated temporary housing arrangements. The storm strengthened and is forecast to bring 145 mile (233 km) per hour winds to the Texas/Louisiana border near midnight on Wednesday. Warnings for an "unsurvivable storm surge" and "catastrophic damage" led officials in each state to call for residents to flee inland. Local officials advised residents with personal vehicles to take them. For those boarding buses out of the area temperature checks were required. Evacuees were being assigned to far-flung hotels to avoid large groups at shelters. In Galveston County, Texas, which ordered a mandatory evacuation of low-lying areas on Tuesday, buses brought residents inland, but capped the number on each at 15 to 2

Troy University names building for civil rights icon Lewis

TROY, Ala. - Troy University announced Wednesday that a university building will be renamed in honor of the late Congressman John Lewis who tried unsuccessfully to attend the then-all white school in the 1950s. The Troy University Board of Trustees voted Wednesday to rename historic Bibb Graves Hall - currently named for a former governor who had ties to the Ku Klux Klan- in honor of Lewis. While Lewis became a longtime Georgia congressman, he was a native of Pike County, Alabama, and grew up not far from the university. The civil rights icon died July 17 at the age of 80. The university said the name change is effective immediately and the building will now bear the name John Robert Lewis Hall. "John Lewis is a towering figure in American history, whose leadership and advocacy for non-violent change have left a lasting legacy for us all," Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Jr., said in a statement on the university's website. Lewis as a teen applied to the then-all-white universi
