White House's Kushner says he will reach out to NBA superstar LeBron James

WASHINGTON - White House Adviser Jared Kushner on Thursday said he would reach out to basketball superstar LeBron James following an NBA player boycott to protest racial injustice in the wake of a police shooting that paralyzed a Black man in Wisconsin. The National Basketball Association postponed all three of its playoff games on Wednesday after the Milwaukee Bucks boycotted Game 5 of their series against the Orlando Magic to protest racial injustice, triggering similar moves across other sports. The action by the Bucks, a team based in Wisconsin, came in the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, in the Wisconsin city of Kenosha on Sunday. “I think that it’s nice that they’re standing up for the issue, but I’d like to see them start moving into concrete solutions that are productive. And again, President Trump in this White House is willing to work with them,” Kushner said in an interview with Politico. Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, added that

That led the National Basketball Association to postpone all three playoff games on Wednesday and three more on Thurs

In a video with six former or current Democrats, which aired during the convention, the individuals shared why they were left-leaning before and why they now support Trump. 'I still consider myself a liberal, but liberalism has changed, and I don't fit there anymore,' one woman said. 'I mean I was a socialist,' she continued. 'One of the hardest things to do is to challenge your own beliefs.' The video package was book-ended with remarks from Trump aide Ja'Ron Smith, who claimed he didn't meet a Republican until he was grown, and Representative

Walmart joins Microsoft bid for TikTok as CEO of social media app quits

- Walmart Inc said it was joining Microsoft in a bid for social media company TikTok’s U.S. assets, revealing its plans hours after the video company’s chief executive said he would step down. CEO Kevin Mayer, a high-profile former Disney executive, is leaving three months after joining TikTok, in the middle of negotiations to sell the Chinese-owned short-form video app’s U.S. operations to Microsoft Corp or Oracle Corp. TikTok owner ByteDance aims to enter exclusive talks with a bidder in the next 24 to 48 hours and ink a deal by Sept. 15, people familiar with the matter told Reuters. ByteDance declined to comment. The sale of TikTok is happening as the company is under fire from the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump as a potential national security risk due to the vast amount of private data the app is compiling on U.S. consumers. The Trump administration has demanded that China’s ByteDance, which owns TikTok globally, sell its U.S. operations. Earlier this week, TikTok
