Chris Grayling has quit the Intelligence and Security Committee chairman after former MP Julian Lewis was elected as chairman ahead of him. Former Tory Mr Lewis was elected as chair of the committee ahead of Mr Grayling, who had been widely tipped for the role, last month. A short statement from the committee said: 'The Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP has, in accordance with the Justice and Security Act, written to the Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament tendering his resignation from the Committee. The Chairman has sent a reply.' Donald Trump grants FULL pardon to Alice Johnson for drug dealing conviction after freeing her from 22-year sentence at urging of Kim Kardashian - leaving former felon wiping away tears

President Donald Trump gave Alice Johnson, the former inmate who reality TV star Kim Kardashian push to have released, a full pardon in the Oval Office Friday afternoon.  Johnson had delivered an address Thursday night before the Republican National Convention from Washington, D.C., and so was seated with Trump at the White House the next day when reporters came in.  That's when Trump surprised her with a full pardon, as he had only commuted her sentence in June of 2018.  'We're giving Alice a full pardon. I just told her. We didn't even discuss it,' Trump said. Nine-year-old black boy says he is 'terrified' of cops after North Carolina officers pulled guns on him and two friends aged 11 and 15 - handcuffing one of them - when they were playing tag outside their apartment complex

A nine-year-old black boy has said he is now 'terrified' of cops after North Carolina officers pulled their guns on him and his two friends when they were playing tag outside their apartment complex.  Zakarryya Cornelius, 9, was playing a game with Jaylin Harris, 15, and an unidentified friend, 11, at the Rochelle Manor Apartments complex in Durham when the three black boys were allegedly confronted by five cops pointing their firearms at them and yelling at them to 'get on the ground'.  The officers handcuffed Jaylin before Zakarryya's distraught mom Makeba Hoffler ran over to stop the incident.   The incident comes as tensions continue to build between law enforcement and black communities across America following a series of recent incidents where cops have 'murdered' or seriously injured black men and women.   Zakarryya Cornelius, 9, has said he is now 'terrified' of cops after North Carolina officers pulled their guns on him and his two friends

The Kenosha County sheriff said in 2018 that a group of black theft suspects ‘need to disappear’ and should be ‘warehoused’ so they wouldn’t have children as he faces calls for his resignation over his handling of the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Sheriff David Beth apologized in late January 2018 for comments that he made at a news briefing after his deputies arrested four adults and a minor - all of whom are black. The five were taken into custody after leading deputies on a high-speed chase. Deputies were in pursuit of the suspects who allegedly stole some $4,800 worth of clothing from a Tommy Hilfiger store in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
