Roof collapse at restaurant in China kills 17 people and injures 28 others as rescue workers desperately search for trapped people

A two-storey restaurant in China collapsed this morning killing seventeen people, according to state media. Some 28 other people were injured in the accident which happened during a gathering. This includes seven people who are in serious condition, the official Xinhua News Agency said. The restaurant was in Shanxi province's Xiangfen county, about 400 miles southwest of Beijing. The cause of the collapse was not immediately clear.
