Although Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans players have all been cleared for coronavirus, one fan and a groundskeeper at Arrowheads Stadium for last week's NFL opener have tested positive, prompting Missouri health officials to request that 10 more attendees quarantine. Just 17,000 fans were allowed to attend the game, due to pandemic concerns.   State health officials claim that one person who watched the game from a group box tested positive the following day. Those who were near that unidentified individual have been notified and did agree to quarantine themselves. Kansas City and Jacksonville were the only two NFL teams to allow fan attendance in Week 1. FBI chief Chris Wray says Russia has a 'very, very active' campaign to 'denigrate Joe Biden Donald, sow divisiveness and discord and influence our election'

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday warned that Russia is interfering in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections with a steady steam of misinformation aimed at Democrat Joe Biden as well as sapping Americans' confidence in the election process. Moscow is also attempting to undercut what it sees as an anti-Russian U.S. establishment, the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation told the Democratic-led House of Representatives' Homeland Security committee. He said his biggest concern is a 'steady drumbeat of misinformation' that he said he feared could undermine confidence in the result of the 2020 election. FBI Director Chris Wray said Russia and its proxies seek to sow 'divisiveness and discord' and 'primarily to denigrate Vice President Biden' Wray's testimony follows an Aug. 7 warning by the director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center that Russia, China and Iran were all trying to interfere in the Nov. 3 election. 'Residents are saying police are nowhere to be seen': Minneapolis City Council demands answers from its police chief over 15 percent rise in violent crime - two months after slashing his budget by $1m

Just two months after voting to dismantle the police and slashing its budget, Minneapolis City Council members pressed the department's chief over a surge in crime, prompting a GOP candidate to slam the lawmakers as hypocrites. 'Residents are asking, "Where are the police?"' Council Member Jamal Osman said on Tuesday, adding that calls to the Minneapolis Police Department from constituents have gone unanswered. 'That is the only public safety option they have at the moment. MPD. They rely on MPD. And they are saying they are nowhere to be seen.'  Osman and other council members questioned police Chief Medaria Arradondo on Tuesday about the increase in crime, including daylight car jackings, robberies, assaults, shootings and street racing.  But others noted that the council just recently slashed the police budget by $1.1million and also voted to amend the city charter that would allow for the dismantling of the entire police department.  Pictured: Minneapo

Donald Trump is slammed for boasting about 'great job' on coronavirus deaths 'if you take out the blue states' – as he blames his own public relations staff for failings

President Donald's Trump has come under fire from critics who blasted him for crassly describing the deaths of Americans using the political terminology of red states and blue states.  Trump made the comment while at a White House press conference Wednesday while pointing at a chart showing U.S. coronavirus deaths – about to hit 200,000 – compared to modeling showing they could have hit more than 2 million if the U.S. took no action.  'We're down in this territory, and that's despite the fact that the blue states had tremendous death rates,' Trump said, pointing to a chart. 'If you take the blue states out, we’re at a level that I don’t think anybody in the world would be at, we’re really at a very low level,' Trump said. The president was immediately slammed for seeking to remove from the equation states with Democratic voting patterns or governors. In fact, of the top ten states getting hardest hit by the virus, five are run by Republican governors.  While

Pentagon chief Mark Esper says he wants to build a bigger and more lethal Navy to combat China's growing power in the Pacific by adding 60 more unmanned ships, submarines, and aircraft

Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced a new plan to expand the United States Navy in order to meet a growing threat from China Secretary of Defense Mark Esper announced Wednesday an ambitious plan to expand the US Navy with a range of unmanned and autonomous ships, submarines and aircraft to confront the growing maritime challenge from China. The Pentagon chief said a sweeping review of US naval power dubbed 'Future Forward' had laid out a 'game-changer' plan that would expand the US sea fleet to more than 355 ships, from the current 293. The plan, which requires adding tens of billions of dollars to the US Navy's budget between now and 2045, is aimed at maintaining superiority over Chinese naval forces, seen as the primary threat to the United States. 'The future fleet will be more balanced in its ability to deliver lethal effects from the air, from the sea, and from under the sea,' Esper said in a speech at the Rand Corp. in California. The expansion will

Bill de Blasio delays kids going back to NYC schools AGAIN: Mayor infuriates parents by pushing back in-person classes just three days before the start of the new semester in another policy u-turn

New York City public schools will no longer resume in-person classes for all students on Monday, September 21, as previously planned, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Thursday.  Instead, the city will phase its more than one million students back into the classroom on a rolling basis, beginning with pre-schools next week.  Schools serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade will go back on September 29, followed by middle and high schools on October 1.  The last-minute change in plan has sparked even more confusion among parents and school administrators already frustrated by flip-flops from de Blasio.  It marked the second time that the mayor has delayed the start of in-person classes, which were originally set to begin on September 10.   De Blasio's continuing failure to commit to a plan at the 11th hour has fueled a chorus of critics who say the Department of Education is completely unprepared to bring the nation's largest school district back online amid the coronavi
