He and three other Englishmen set out for Kehlstein's 6,171ft peak on Monday, a subpeak of the colossal Göll massif in the Berchtesgaden Alps. They were having difficulty navigating due to poor visibility and it being slippery underfoot when the 29-year-old fell down the rocky gully.  He suffered serious injuries to his legs, head and feet, but it would be more than hour until the rescue helicopter was able to find them in the dense fog. More than a MILLION homes are set to sell by end of year amid rush to cash-in on stamp duty freeze - while mortgage approvals reach 13-year high

More than one million houses will sell by the end of the year as eager house buyers rush to cash-in on Rishi Sunak's stamp duty cuts.  Real estate agent Savills said it expects around 1.06 million house sales across Britain in 2020 - with the market favouring established home owners and cash buyers. Further proving the country is seeing a buyers' market, the number of mortgage approvals jumped to its highest levels since 2007 in August, the Bank of England said. Some 84,700 approvals for house purchase were recorded, marking the highest number since October 2007, according to the Bank's money and credit report. The 1.06 million predicted house sales figure is around a quarter of a million more than it had previously predicted - prior to the Chancellor's temporary stamp duty holiday announced in July.  More than one million houses will sell by the end of the year as eager house buyers rush to cash-in on Rishi Sunak's stamp duty cuts. LMVH counter-sues Tiffany to avoid takeover bid because 'the pandemic has devastated its business' - but the jewelry giant says it's an attempt to avoid paying the full $16.2 billion purchase price

A war of words between LVMH and Tiffany escalated on Tuesday with the French luxury group describing Tiffany's prospects as 'dismal' and the US jeweler accusing LVMH of improperly trying to renegotiate a takeover deal. The Louis Vuitton owner's $16billion purchase of Tiffany came close to collapse this month after LVMH said it could not complete the deal by a November 24 deadline, triggering a legal battle. LVMH, led by billionaire Bernard Arnault, cited an official foreign ministry request to delay closing the deal to January, following trade tensions with the United States and worsening business conditions at Tiffany because of the coronavirus emergency. Tiffany, in turn, sued LVMH in a Delaware court, accusing it of deliberately stalling completion of the deal, which was agreed last year before the pandemic emerged.  It is seeking a court order to force LVMH to honor the original deal and a four-day trial is scheduled to begin on January 5.  On Monday, LVMH filed its
