A three-year-old girl from Honduras was found by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in Texas when an undocumented immigrant from Venezuelan was detained for unlawfully entering the United States. CBP said officers from Fort Brown Station were conducting a surveillance patrol in Brownsville on Thursday when they received a report of human smuggling attempt reaching the riverbank of the Rio Grande on a raft. The 30-year-old woman told the CBP agents that the Honduran child was not hers and that the girl had been handed to her by human traffickers in Mexico and told to 'travel north' with her. People traffickers 'are paying French fishing boat crews to get migrants across the Channel without being spotted by military drones' as 80 more arrive on third-busiest day this month

People traffickers are hiring French fishing boat crews to carry desperate migrants halfway across the Channel in a bid to evade eye-in-the-sky military drones. Once in open water, asylum seekers clamber into pre-inflated dinghies held in the fishing boat to complete the rest of the perilous 21-mile crossing, reports suggest. Onlookers have reported seeing between 70 and 80 migrants arrive into Dover after crossing the Channel in eight boats today - however it is unknown whether fishing boats were used in their journey.  Three of the vessels that arrived into Dover on Monday were escorted across by French officials before being passed over to Border Force for processing, witnesses claim. The unconfirmed figure - which included a young child who was carried by a Border Force officer - marks the third-busiest day for crossings this month.  Using fishing trips as a guise allows groups to evade detection by drones - such as the £22 million Watchkeeper which launched its first reconnaissanc

Tony Blair 'consulted Matt Hancock about coronavirus guidelines' before trip to America that saw him accused of breaking quarantine rules on his return

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair 'sought the advice of Matt Hancock' before allegedly breaching the two-week quarantine rules following a trip to the White House, it has been reported. Mr Blair, 67, who was pictured at Harry's Bar in London's Mayfair less than two weeks after returning from a two-day trip to the U.S, spoke with the Health Secretary about the Covid-19 guidelines prior to his visit, according to The Daily Telegraph. A spokesman for Mr Blair said he was invited to an 'international conference' because of his ties to the Middle East peace agreement between Israel and the UAE. However it has since been claimed that the former leader, who consulted Mr Hancock before his trip on September 14, sought exemption from the rules by obtaining an official letter. The body of a civilian mariner who was unable to leave the US Navy ship he had been working on for months due to Covid-19 restrictions was kept in a food storage refrigerator after he committed suicide at sea.  Third Officer Jonathon Morris, 34, of San Mateo, California, took his own life on July 22 on the USNS Amelia Earhart cargo ship that was deployed in the Middle East. He was among the 100 civilian maritime professionals on the ship that had been hired by the US Navy's Military Sealift Command to help transport supplies and personnel across the world.  Prior to his suicide, Morris had told a co-worker that he was struggling with the extended periods at sea amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Daily Beast reports. Morris had also recently had to deal with a racial dispute between two people under him that subsequently led to him being given a less desirable posting that meant he would be on the ship for an additional four months.  Third Officer Jonathon Morris, 34, of San Mateo,

'Shocked' eyewitness called police three times about migrants jumping out of a lorry in Essex a fortnight before 39 Vietnamese victims suffocated to death, court hears

Shocked eyewitnesses made repeated calls to police over migrants jumping out of a lorry in Essex just two weeks before 39 Vietnamese victims suffocated to death, a court has heard. Marie Andrews and her partner Stewart Cox allegedly spotted a migrant drop outside their mobile home in Orsett, Essex, early on October 11 last year. Prosecutors claim it was one of two successful people-smuggling runs before 39 Vietnamese nationals suffocated in a trailer en route from Zeebrugge to Purfleet on October 23 last year. On the day the bodies were found, Ms Andrews said she called police to say she 'recognised,' the lorry as the same one she had seen outside her home  Marie Andrews told a trial she made repeated calls to police after watching migrants leave a lorry outside her mobile home in Orsett, Essex, less than two weeks before 39 Vietnamese migrants were found dead in Grays last year Ms Andrews said she called police a fourth time after she saw news of the grim discovery in Grays. Dramatic moment police chased drug dealer chased into family's back garden and forced him to cough up bags of crack cocaine he had swallowed in front of father and his young son

This is the shocking moment a drug dealer is arrested in a suburban back garden - and forced by police to cough up bags of crack cocaine hidden in his mouth. Service station worker Lokman Ali was relaxing at home in Reading with his toddler when he heard a crash from outside and saw four officers descend on a man lying just feet from his son's slide and next to his garden shed. The suspect had dodged washing drying on a line and crashed through two neighbouring fences in his bid to get away from the officers but was finally brought down by a combination of Mr Ali's stray wheelbarrow and a shot from a taser. As the Ali family looked on agog, at least three officers, two in uniform and one seemingly undercover, are then seen grappling with the male suspect and telling him to spit the drugs out of his mouth. One officer is heard saying: 'Just spit them out, spit them out, there's loads coming out of your mouth. Another 20 is not going to make any difference to the amount w
