The naughty night Wills & Kate kissed and made up: The Prince wore hot pants and a policeman’s helmet, she dressed in fishnets and a nurse’s uniform... no wonder her 'look what you're missing' strategy came to fruition

To mark ten years since their engagement, we are running a major series on the compelling rollercoaster story of how William and Kate got together. Last week, we told how, after dating for four years, they split up – with William dumping her in a phone call to her office. Here, in the final part, with new insights, we chart how they rebuilt their relationship which many believe has helped save the Monarchy...  The Royal love affair – between a future King and a coal-miner’s great-great-granddaughter – had gripped the nation, but it was over. Prince William, still troubled by his parents’ toxic divorce, had got cold feet over marrying his university sweetheart Kate Middleton. In April 2007, weighed down by the millstone of anticipation from the public and Palace officials alike for an engagement announcement, he had called time on their four-year courtship. Kate Middleton, pictured, was wearing a 1970s-style sequin dress and a huge sparkling ring on a night out in Mahiki nightclub  Duri

Libby Ruge, 19, died on Flinders Street in Wollongong on November 7 The mother of an aspiring model who was run over by a car while walking outside a club with two friends and the love of her life has revealed the last words she ever said to her teenage daughter. Libby Ruge died on Flinders Street in Wollongong, south of Sydney, at 10.30pm on November 7 when a Toyota Camry allegedly mounted the kerb and ploughed into the group, injuring her two friends Tye West and Eva Harrison. Her boyfriend Luke Day, 20, was unscathed and knew he had to call his girlfriend's mothers, Julie and Jules, to say the life was draining from the 19-year-old's broken body before she tragically passed on the scene.  In an emotional interview with Daily Mail Australia, Julie, 57, opened up about the final conversation she had with her 'quirky, funny' daughter just hours before her death, during which Libby offered not to go out that night. Bushfires devastate Fraser Island as the blazes threaten to decimate tourist icons - as fire bans are imposed due to soaring temperatures in Queensland and New South Wales

Devastating bushfires have left holidaymakers at Fraser Island's iconic tourist destinations on high alert as Sydney prepares to swelter through another 40C plus scorcher.  Tourists have been ordered to stay away from Queensland's world heritage-listed island as conditions deteriorated on Saturday. The out of control blaze which has now been burning for a six weeks has destroyed almost half of the island's national park as waterbombers and ground crews battle the intense conditions. A total fire ban remains in place across New South Wales on Sunday with Sydney set to soar past 40C for a second consecutive day and break a 60 year record. The heatwave conditions have taken a toll on firefighters across NSW, with more than 100 fires burning from border to border in the last two days in the wake of the horror bushfire season last summer. A watch and act warning was issued for a fire burning close to homes in Whitehaven Rd at Northmead in Sydney's north-west on Sunday aftern

Cops slam Sydney's 'obsession with cocaine' for fuelling deadly gang crime plaguing the city's streets – including kidnappings, deaths and shootings

Sydney's wealthy cocaine users are fuelling deadly gang crime as competing groups resort to murder and kidnappings to seize control of the lucrative trade, a top cop has warned.  NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said organised crime is about money and power, warning drug users in Australia's cocaine capital are often unaware buying the overpriced substance supports underworld violence.  Sydney has a seen a rise in gang-related crimes in the last few months, with a deadly turf war said to be responsible for a spate for kidnappings and assassinations.  'The reality we know with organised crime is: you take out the head you take out the entire group, then there will always be someone willing to step up because of the power and the money that's available,' he told The Sun-Herald. 'If you think taking a line of cocaine on Saturday night in the toilet of your local pub, club or restaurant is OK, you're feeding that. And, whilst ever Sydney, particularly, has a

A state canvassing board is expected to meet Monday, the legal deadline, to certify the results of the race in which more than 394,400 votes were cast. Miller-Meeks acknowledged in a statement that the race was 'extraordinarily close,' but said she was proud of the outcome and looked forward to being certified as the winner.
