Kellyanne Conway finds alternative facts to Donald Trump's at last and admits Joe Biden has won saying she'd work with the new president if he asked

Kellyanne Conway on Friday acknowledged Joe Biden won the presidential election and said she would work with his administration if they needed her. She is one of the most prominent Donald Trump supporters to acquiesce his rival's victory and her tactic admission comes as the president continues his legal fight to overturn the results.   'The president wants to exhaust all of his legal avenues, as he has made clear many times. His team is doing that, and that is his right,' Conway told The 19th. 'If you look at the vote totals in the Electoral College tally, it looks like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will prevail. I assume the electors will certify that and it will be official. We, as a nation, will move forward, because we always do,' she added. The dramatic change coming to Australia's banking sector that could save mortgage holders tens of thousands of dollars and make it easier to switch lenders - here is what every homeowner needs to know

Major changes to how banks offer interest rates could result in homeowners saving tens of thousands of dollars.  The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has found loyal customers are being swindled by banks. The watchdog wants to make it a requirement for banks to tell borrowers every year what interest rate they are being charged. The move is to stop loyal customers, many of who leave their variable interest rates unchanged for at least four years, ending up with less competitive rates than new borrowers. The commission also wants to make it mandatory for banks to reveal the average rate on new loans.  An investigation by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has found that loyal customers are being swindled by banks over their interest rates (Stock image pictured) The changes could see customers make big savings by switching  to their bank's average interest rate. A report by the commission, which is due to be released on Saturday, suggests that someone wi

Joe Biden sounds alarm on COVID vaccine warning he has not seen a 'detailed plan' for distribution and says there has to be 'some equity' in how it gets out

President-elect Joe Biden raised concerns about what he said was a lack of detailed planning for end-stage distribution of the coronavirus vaccine, following discussions with current Trump administration officials. Biden made the statement after speaking in Wilmington about a 'grim' jobs report that he also called 'dire.' 'There is not detailed plan that we’ve seen anyway as to how you get the vaccine out of a container into an injection syringe into somebody’s arm,' Biden said. He said the current administration has 'clued us in on their planning,' and he acknowledged in a CNN interview Thursday having spoken to infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, who he has asked to be his science advisor and to stay on in his post.   'There is not detailed plan that we’ve seen anyway as to how you get the vaccine out of a container into an injection syringe into somebody’s arm,' Biden said, after his team got briefed on the administration's plans

Islamic State 'is plotting Christmas terror attacks in UK and Europe' for publication of Prophet Mohammed cartoons in France, ex-MI6 spy warns as Macron announces plans to close 80 'extremist' mosques

The so-called Islamic State is plotting Christmas terror attacks in Britain and European countries in revenge for the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in France, a former MI6 spy has warned. Aimen Dean, who spent eight years spying on al-Qaeda before his cover was blown by a US intelligence leak, claimed plots were being hatched in jihadi-held areas of northern Syria and Libya to terrorise Europeans this winter.  He told a security conference in London that Abu Omar al-Shishani, an Isis commander who is thought to have survived a US strike in 2016, is planning to send extremists to the West via Turkey and across the Mediterranean from North Africa. They will then carry out a series of terror atrocities in Britain, France and Germany as their governments lift coronavirus restrictions ahead of Christmas, Dean said. Home Secretary Priti Patel moved Britain to its second-highest terror threat level of 'severe' after a series of horrifying attacks in France and Austri

Millionaire drug company executive, 60, convicted of fatally poisoning her autistic eight-year-old son 'should be released from prison' after serving just 11 years, appeals court orders

A multimillionaire former drug company executive who was convicted in 2014 of poisoning to death her autistic eight-year-old son should be released from prison pending a possible retrial, a federal appeals court ruled. On Wednesday, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order denying a motion to keep 60-year-old Gig Jordan imprisoned at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility while her case is under review. Jordan was serving an 18-year sentence for force-feeding her son, Jude Mirra, a deadly cocktail of pills in February 2010 as they stayed at the high-end Peninsula on Fifth Avenue. She then made an unsuccessful attempt to take her own life. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals has denied prosecutors' motion to keep Gigi Jordan imprisoned pending appeal, thus clearing the way for her release. White House hosts second Christmas party in two days despite Capitol doctor's warnings - as its revealed Mike Pompeo has invited 900 guests to an INDOOR holiday party at the State Department

The White House continued its month of holiday celebrations on Wednesday evening, hosting a second indoor Christmas party in just two days despite health officials' warnings against large gatherings. President Trump and first lady Melania once again welcomed guests at the executive mansion in another of at least 25 holiday events they will host in December before they leave office. Photos shared on social media showed guests dressed in ritzy evening gowns and formal attire with few to no masks or face coverings in sight.  In one photo, a group of 11 maskless attendees were seen huddling closely together as they posed for the camera.  Similar scenes had unfolded on Tuesday when the White House kicked off its holiday season with a reception, where dozens of guests were seen crowding together without masks.  Mask-free event: The White House hosted its second indoor Christmas party in just two days despite health officials' warnings against large gatherings Wednesday night's ev

Daughter who chopped off her mum's head during a kitchen fight had a 'crush on' meat worker who she bombarded with 100 calls a day and threatened to flush his wife's head down the toilet

A Sydney woman who chopped off her mother's head also bombarded a man with up to 100 calls a day and then threatened to flush his wife's head down a toilet, a court has heard.  Growing increasingly agitated with threats from her mother she would be put back into a mental institution, Jessica Camilleri 'saw red' in July of 2019. Detective denies influencing children allegedly molested by swimming coach Kyle Daniels during their interviews with police

The detective in charge of investigating child abuse claims against Sydney swim instructor Kyle Daniels has denied influencing the girls in their interviews. The cross-examination of Detective Senior Constable Emma Lay continued in the District Court on Thursday at the 22-year-old's jury trial. He's pleaded not guilty to 26 charges, including multiple counts of having sexual intercourse with a child under 10 and indecently assaulting a person under 16. New push to ban police, the PM and Gladys Berejiklian from marching in the Sydney Mardi Gras parade to show 'solidarity' with Black Lives Matter

Members of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras will vote this weekend on a proposal to exclude police and corrective services from the 2021 parade. It is a proposal put forward by Pride in Protest, an activist group who want to show their solidarity with the global Black Lives Matter movement and also see the event return to its protest roots. The vote, due on Saturday, December 5 at the organisation's annual general meeting, is the latest development in an ongoing stoush over the political direction of the famous gay pride parade.  Activist group Pride in Protest want to see police and corrective services (pictured above) banned from taking part in the 2021 Mardi Gras 'The Black Lives Matter movement has inspired a global responsibility of every human to recognise the damage and the enormous human life cost that comes at the hands of the police,' Pride in Protest organiser Bridget Harilaou said. Care home residents could get jab in days: Covid-19 vaccine is due to be rolled out in nursing centres sooner than expected after officials devised a way to split it into small batches for delivery

Care home residents are expected to begin receiving Covid jabs within days after all. Officials have devised a way to split the Pfizer vaccine into small batches suitable for distribution to them. Initial plans to make vulnerable social care residents the first to get the jab were derailed when regulators put a limit on the number of times doses could be moved.  The vaccine contains a fragile strand of RNA – the genetic material that carries messages between cells – sheathed in a droplet of fat. Pictured: Alexandra Glenister is visiting her mum Jo Shepherd at Castle Grove Care Home in Bampton, Tiverton That makes it very unstable and means it needs to be stored at a super-cold -70C (-94F) to ensure it does not break down before it gets to patients. The logistics of transporting and storing a vaccine at such temperatures means the initial doses will be given out at one of 50 major hospitals across England.  It also meant earlier plans to make care home residents the first to get the jab
