Black Capitol cop and vet says MAGA mob were 'racist terrorists' who repeatedly used the N-word while attacking officers during siege

Black Capitol Police officers say the MAGA mob who rioted in Washington DC last week were ‘racist a** terrorists' who reportedly hurled racial epithets at them as they sought to protect the legislature. Two members of the US Capitol Police Department described being subjected to vile racial abuse during the chaos that erupted Wednesday, which left five people dead – including one of their colleagues. ‘I got called a n***** 15 times,’ one of the officers, a veteran of the force, told Buzzfeed. After the pro-Trump mob dispersed, the officer said he broke down in tears for around 15 minutes. ‘I sat down with one of my buddies, another black guy, and tears just started streaming down my face,’ the officer recalled. ‘I said, “What the f***, man? Is this America? What the f*** just happened? I’m so sick and tired of this s***.”’ One of the officers said he was upset to see how white colleagues were treating the mob, posing for selfies when some among the crowd were roaming the Capitol h

London infections blow through Tier Four: Charts show terrifying rise despite lockdown (and it's so bad in some boroughs, they may be approaching herd immunity)

Tier Four restrictions had little effect on cutting down rates of Covid in London — despite data suggesting that parts of the capital could be close to developing herd immunity against coronavirus because so many people are thought to have been infected. Analysts believe as many as half of people in some boroughs in the east of the city have had the illness already. And given that re-infection with Covid appears to be extremely rare, scientists say this could mean the spread of the virus is getting slower in those areas as fewer become susceptible to catching it and passing it on. Infection rates in the city have surged in the second wave, meaning hundreds of thousands more survivors will have developed immunity to the virus which could slow it down in the future. Per-person infection rates doubled in most parts of London in the week before Christmas, reaching higher than one per cent of the population in the worst-affected places in the East. And they continued rising after Christmas
