Scott Peterson's sister says he is a 'sociopath' as his retrial for killing his wife Laci and their unborn child is postponed until April

Scott Peterson's sister described him as a sociopath on Thursday as he had his retrial for killing his pregnant wife delayed until April.   Peterson, 48, was convicted of murdering his wife Laci and and their unborn child in 2004 and was sentenced to death. Prosecutors said he wanted to escape married life and did not want the responsibility of becoming a father, so allegedly killed the pair and tossed them off his boat in the San Francisco Bay.  In November, the California Supreme Court unanimously overturned his death sentence, saying the judge in the case improperly dismissed and selected jurors.  Now, the sentencing phrase of his trial will be held again and his attorneys are pushing for a whole new retrial to exonerate him.  On Thursday, he appeared briefly at a Zoom hearing. The case has now been postponed until April.   Peterson's sister Anne Bird told Dr. Oz on Thursday that her brother is a 'sociopath' Peterson has been appearing via Zoom for his court appearan

UK bans flights from Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo in latest bid to stop South African 'more vaccine resistant' Covid strain spreading here

The UK has banned arrivals from Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the latest bid to stop the 'more vaccine resistant' South African Covid strain taking hold in Britain. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps tonight announced the ban on arrivals entering the country from the two African nations. The rule, which comes into force from 4am on Friday, will not apply to returning British and Irish nationals and those with residency rights. More countries have been added to the arrival ban list in a bid to prevent the South African Covid-19 variant from taking hold in the UK. Pictured: The arrivals area of Heathrow Airport The decision comes after UK's chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance warned this week that coronavirus variants were a 'real issue of concern'. Scientists believe the vaccines currently being rolled out may be less effective against the South African variant, known as 501Y.V2. Mr Shapps tweeted: 'To help to stop the spread of the Cov

Look who it is! Trump wears his MAGA cap to play his first game of golf as ex-president - and Nancy says: 'Thank God he's gone!'

Donald Trump is spending his first day returning to life as a private citizen on his West Palm Beach club golf course as Nancy Pelosi celebrates his departure from Washington. The former president's favorite pastime is golf, and he often spent his vacations away from the White House on his courses whether in Florida, New Jersey or some other Trump-brand club around the world. Trump wore his signature red 'Make America Great Again' hat as he golfed and was transported to his course via government motorcade from his Mar-a-Lago club – he and wife Melania's new home. Also spotted at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday was Lara Trump walking the grounds in a white bikini. Lara is married to Trump's middle son Eric – and has been rumored to be considering a Senate run in her home state of North Carolina in 2022.  'The president of the United States committed an act of incitement of insurrection,' Pelosi said during her weekly briefing. 'I don't think it's very unif

Second-year undergraduate Amy Slattery, 19, is seen dancing along to 'Murder on the Dancefloor' with other students at Leeds Beckett University in the clip from a boozy Saturday night party where no masks or social distancing were evident. Her father, Cumbria Police Assistant Chief Constable Andy Slattery, has been at the forefront of the fight to control the pandemic and is chair of the county's multi-agency Covid-19 Strategic Coordination Group. The damning video footage of Amy and her mates in Leeds was posted to Snapchat by a fellow reveller from the event at 3am on Sunday. It is believed to have been held in one of the university's halls of residence.  Amy Slattery, the student daughter of Cumbria Police Assistant Chief Constable Andy Slattery (pictured centre and right) has been caught on video at an illegal party brazenly flouting lo

QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene files articles of impeachment against Biden arguing he is 'unfit' to be president and 'will do whatever it takes to bail out Hunter'

QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said Thursday she has filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden.  The Republican Congresswoman from Georgia, 46, argued the newly elected president is 'unfit' for office and 'will do whatever it takes to bail out Hunter'.  In a statement Greene indicated she is accusing Biden of abusing his power as Vice President when his son served on a Ukrainian energy company's board. It comes just one day after Biden was sworn into office.  Greene was on Sunday temporarily suspended from Twitter. She has previously expressed racist views and support for QAnon conspiracy theories online. She said in a statement Thursday:  'President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama's Vice President is lengthy and disturbing.  'President Biden has demonstrated that he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family's pockets with cash

Growing number of Australians are unwilling to take a Covid vaccine - but there is overwhelming public backing for ongoing foreign travel bans

There has been a rise in the number of Australians who say they would refuse to take a Covid-19 vaccine although they remain in the minority, new data reveals.   Roy Morgan survey showed willingness to take a vaccine dropped from 87 per cent in April to 77 per cent in a new poll, with the number of unwilling climbing from seven to 12 per cent. The survey of 1000 adults taken in November also revealed that men (83 per cent) are more willing to be vaccinated than women (72 per cent).  Survey data reveals an increase in the number of Australians unwilling to receive a Covid vaccine. The Australian government is currently in agreement with four separate Covid vaccines, including the Pfizer vaccine, with a potential nine others still in clinical trials.  The rollout of the first vaccines is due to begin late next month. Prime Minister Scott Morrison has stated that vaccinations 'will be as mandatory as you can make it' in Australia but admitted that people cannot be held down and fo

PIERS MORGAN on President Biden's wake-up call for America: he's inherited a broken, angry country - but his stunning passion, heart and empathy filled me with hope that he can make the states united again and end this 'un-civil' war

I choked up. Did you? If not, you should have done. Joe Biden just made the greatest speech of his life and one of the most important political speeches that I've ever heard. And frankly, if you didn't find it emotional, you weren't listening hard enough, or fully comprehending the significance of what he was saying. Or ironically, in the moment I lost it, what he wasn't saying. When Biden asked for a few moments of respectful silence and prayer for the 400,000 Americans who've lost their lives to coronavirus, it was the first time I've seen the President of the United States show those victims and their grieving families a shred of real empathy. And it came from a man who knows so much about the tragedy of losing a loved one. A man whose first wife and baby daughter were killed in a car crash as he was about to become a Senator. A man who suffered another devastating, crushing blow when his beloved son Beau died from brain cancer in 2015. A man who's had to
