Australia's top doctors UNLEASH on 'scaremongering' Annastacia Palaszczuk for trying to derail Australia's vaccine rollout by telling under-40s to ignore PM's AstraZeneca advice – as her own health advisor is branded an 'anti-vaxxer'

Annastacia Palaszczuk has been slammed by Australia's largest medical bodies which accuse her of 'scaremongering'  and undermining the revised national Covid vaccination rollout plan. The Queensland Premier and her top medical advisor, Dr Jeannette Young, were compared to 'anti-vaxxers' after urging under 60s to avoid the AstraZeneca jab. In an attempt to kickstart Australia's fledgling vaccine rollout, Scott Morrison announced anyone over 16 could immediately request the vaccine, which has been linked to incredibly rare incidents of blood clots.  But Ms  Palaszczuk attacked the prime minister's move, with Dr Young saying she 'doesn't want an 18-year-old from Queensland dying from a clotting illness'. The comments have provoked outrage in the medical community, with many saying their position on AstraZeneca risks further derailing the nation's vaccine progress.  Under 40s are now being told they can immediately book an appointment to receive

California horse racing officials 'secretly worked to clear trainer Bob Baffert's Justify after it failed a drug test ahead of its 2018 Triple Crown victory,' court records show

California horse racing officials reportedly worked in secret to improperly exonerate embattled Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert and his Triple Crown-winning colt, Justify, after it tested positive for a banned substance in 2018. Confidential court records obtained by The Washington Post include emails, memorandums and other materials showing the California Horse Racing Board's efforts to circumvent the group's own rules — and in some cases, rewriting them — to benefit Baffert as Justify was becoming just the second horse ever to win the Triple Crown with an undefeated record. As was revealed by the New York Times in 2019, Justify tested positive for the banned substance scopolamine, an anti-nausea medication, which allegedly has performance-enhancing qualities. The failed drug test occurred in April of 2018 after Justify won the Santa Anita Derby, and had it been revealed at the time, the violation would have prevented the colt from running in the first leg of the Triple Crown

Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg are 'expected to be charged TOMORROW' with crimes related to President's firm 'not paying taxes on employee benefits including cash bonuses'

Prosecutors investigating the Trump Organization are expected to bring their first indictments on Thursday, according to people familiar with the probe, charging the company and its chief financial office Allen Weisselberg with tax-related crimes. It would mark the first criminal charges brought against the former president's company since the Manhattan district attorney's office began its investigation three years ago, according to the Wall Street Journal.   It reported that the defendants including Weisselberg are expected to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.  The development will come as a deep blow to former President Trump whose lawyers met with prosecutors on Monday in a last effort to deflect charges. However, the Manhattan district attorney's office has apparently failed to 'flip' Weisselberg, 73, who was spotted driving from his home to Trump Tower on Tuesday, just as he has done for decades, indicating he remains employed by the Trump Organization and

How jabs have tamed the third wave: Just one in 100 NHS beds now taken up by Covid patients in England compared to one in six at start of second surge in December

Just one in 100 NHS beds were being taken up by Covid patients in England last week — fourteen times fewer than at the start of the second wave, according to official figures that highlight the power of the vaccines.  MailOnline analysis of the latest NHS England figures show that out of the roughly 87,000 hospital beds at the health service's disposal, fewer than 1,000 were being taken up by people suffering from coronavirus (1.1 per cent) on June 22. The low inpatient numbers are made more impressive by the fact average daily infections have risen to more than 20,000 due to an outbreak of the ultra-infectious Indian variant. Professor Chris Whitty told a meeting of the Cabinet yesterday that hospitals will be able to cope fine after Freedom Day.  The last time Britain was recording more than 20,000 daily cases and the outbreak was rising was in the second week of December, at the cusp of the second wave.  At that time one in six hospital beds across the health service in England
