Tragedy as 15-year-old boy with Covid-19 and meningitis DIES in a Sydney hospital despite the desperate prayers of his Muslim community as Delta infects more young people

A 15-year-old boy has become the youngest victim of Australia's Covid Delta crisis after dying from meningitis in hospital while infected with the virus.  Osama Suduh, from Sydney's Covid-hit south-west, was last week moved into intensive care and placed on life support after testing positive to Covid-19. He was admitted to hospital though with pneumococcal meningitis - a life-threatening infectious disease that causes inflammation of the layers surrounding the brain and spinal cord.  The Kingsgrove North High School student is understood to have died at Sydney's Children Hospital in Randwick on Sunday.  His cousin confirmed the tragic news to Daily Mail Australia on Monday. A spokesman for the hospital said the teenager was not vaccinated against Covid-19 but was up-to-date with his routine childhood vaccinations.  Osama's distraught relatives had earlier begged the Islamic community to pray for a miraculous recovery before it was too late.  Scroll down for video  Osam

'Treat incel ideology like terrorism': Followers of 'involuntary celibate' movement should face same probes as suspected terrorists, experts say

Twisted followers of the 'involuntary celibate' movement should face counter-terrorism style investigations, experts said last night. There were calls to introduce urgent measures to combat the threat posed by women-hating 'incels', amid claims they have up to 10,000 sympathisers in Britain. Former chief crown prosecutor for northwest England, Nazir Afzal, said treating the misogynistic ideology as terrorism would open new avenues for police investigations.  'That kind of extreme misogyny of the type we have seen here and in terms of the incel community is a threat to all women and, ultimately, to all our communities. Jake Davison, a self-confessed 'involuntary celibate', had an obsession with guns and violent computer games from the age of five, according to reports 'If you treat it as terrorism then you have other options open to you in terms of intelligence gathering, in terms of being able to prosecute for disseminating materials, in terms of being a

'Do you want January the 6th to be your political obituary?': Lindsey Graham warns Trump that Capitol attack will be his legacy if he doesn't stop fixating on false claim the 2020 election was stolen

Lindsey Graham has warned Donald Trump that if he doesn't drop his obsession with the 2020 election he risks the January 6 Capitol riot becoming his 'political obituary'. In a report by The New York Times, the South Carolina senator and staunch Trump ally said he believes he can make the former president a unifying figure in the Republican party - but only if he moves on from his fixation with 2020.  Since his defeat to Joe Biden, Trump has doubled down on claims that the 2020 election was 'rigged' and made repeated allegations that he only lost because of widespread election fraud. Trump has yet to offer any proof to substantiate those claims, which have failed every legal challenge he has attempted.  'What I say to him is, 'Do you want January the 6th to be your political obituary?' Graham said. 'Because if you don't get over it, it's going to be.'  Lindsey Graham has been one of Trump's most staunch allies, but he has warned the wa

NIH director calls unvaccinated Americans 'sitting ducks' and predicts the US will see 200,000 COVID cases per day within TWO WEEKS if more people don't get shots and wear masks

National Institutes of Health Director Dr Francis Collins referred to unvaccinated Americans as 'sitting ducks' in an interview on Sunday National Institutes of Health Director Dr Francis Collins referred to unvaccinated Americans as 'sitting ducks' as he offered a grim prediction that the US could see 200,000 new coronavirus cases per day within the next two weeks.  Collins issued his warning on Sunday as the CDC reported a seven-day rolling average for new cases of 119,523 - an increase of over 700 percent from early July. 'I will be surprised if we don’t cross 200,000 cases a day in the next couple of weeks, and that’s heartbreaking considering we never thought we’d be back in that space again,' Collins told Fox News.  'That was January-February, that shouldn’t be August. But here we are with Delta variant, which is so contagious, and this heartbreaking situation where 90 million people are still unvaccinated who are sitting ducks for this virus and that

Dr Fauci says the US is 'absolutely prepared' to roll out third dose of COVID-19 vaccine 'very quickly'

Dr Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Sunday that the U.S. would be 'absolutely prepared' to offer a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine 'very quickly' to the wider population if required.  Speaking amidst a rise in breakthrough cases due to the spread of the Delta variant, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Thursday that individuals with immunocompromised systems—about 3 percent of U.S. adults— are authorized to get a third dose of the vaccine. That includes people who are vulnerable due to organ transplants, certain cancers, diseases or other disorders.   When asked about plans for how to distribute the booster shots, Fauci told CBS's Margaret Brennan on Face the Nation on Sunday that immunocompromised individuals can 'get their boosts literally right now.' 'If it turns out as the data comes in, we see we do need to give an additi

What did they all die for? After 20 years, Afghanistan is abandoned in days and fears grow for our brave translators amid mounting panic in rush to flee Taliban... leaving families of 457 British heroes who sacrificed their lives asking questions

Ministers were accused of presiding over the biggest foreign policy catastrophe in 65 years last night as the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan. After a 20-year occupation by Western forces that saw 457 British lives lost and £22billion spent, the insurgents took the capital Kabul after routing Afghan forces in just a week. The astonishing collapse of the Afghan regime prompted the families of British soldiers who died fighting in the country to say they felt like their loved ones had laid down their lives for nothing. Last night there was a desperate scramble by thousands of British nationals and diplomats to escape Kabul – helped by RAF planes, paratroopers and the SAS. Amid dramatic scenes, most UK Embassy staff were understood to have been flown out of the city on a RAF transport aircraft. But after Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport was closed to civilian flights there were fears that hundreds of Afghan translators had been left behind in the frantic dash to flee.

NFL star Jay Cutler is DROPPED from Uber Eats ad campaign after campaigning against school mask mandates – and vows to use his extra free time to join a school board to combat them

Cutler, 39, tweeted that he had been dropped from an Uber Eats ad campaign over his stance on mask mandates in schools Recently retired NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was fired from an Uber Eats ad campaign after his opposition to compulsory face mask rules for children in schools emerged. The 39-year-old, who played primarily for the Chicago Bears during his 12 seasons in the league, had criticized school boards’ strict mask rules for children, and claims they cost him a good job. 'Lost a commercial with Uber eats partnering with the NFL. Was going to film in LA, 'views aren't aligned.' Guess they don't like future School board members. Frees up my weekend,' Cutler's tweet read, suggesting that he will use the time he'd have spent on his Uber deal researching how to join his local school board to push back against the face covering rule.  Cutler, from Nashville in Tennessee, has recently voiced his support of parents such as OutKick founder Clay Travis.
