New York City dad, 39, is charged with murder 'for beating man to death after victim made sexual comment at his 14-year-old daughter'

A New York City father has been charged with murder for allegedly beating up a man and throwing him down a flight of stairs, resulting in his death, after the victim was said to have directed sexual comments at the suspect's teenage daughter. Luis Ortiz, 39, was arrested on August 11 on counts of second-degree murder and assault stemming from the fatal attack on Ariel Alvarado in the East Harlem section of Manhattan on August 3.  According to the police, Alvarado, 46, was found unresponsive and suffering from cuts to his knees in front of 20 East 109th Street at around 9.15pm on August 3.
