Majority of trolls who sent racist abuse to Bukayo Saka , Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho after Euro 2020 final were NOT British and most live abroad, BBC investigation reveals

The majority of trolls who sent vile racist abuse to Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho on social media were not England fans and live abroad, often thousands of miles from the UK, a new investigation revealed today. Boris Johnson and Prince William condemned the mindless racists who bombarded the footballers with monkey, gorilla and banana emojis after they missed penalties in the Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy this summer.  But today a BBC investigation has revealed that the vast majority of those who sent racist abuse were not from the UK at all. Most were non-Britons living abroad, many with far-right sympathies, including trolls in Russia, across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.  The racist abuse in the aftermath of the Euro 2020 final saw England labelled a 'racist country' with an 'ingrained culture of intolerance', some claimed was made worse by Britain leaving the EU.  Now disproved claims hundreds of England fans were ready to racially abu

Loving father's final words are revealed moments before he perished in a wild firestorm just steps away from where his heartbroken family were waiting

Janelle Salway watched in horror as a wild firestorm claimed the lives of her husband Patrick and his father Robert A dairy farmer could be heard calling his son's name before both perished in a firestorm a stone's throw from safety, their inquest has been told. Father-of-six Robert Salway, 63, and his youngest son, Patrick, 29, died on New Year's Eve 2019 when an intense bushfire and subsequent cyclonic winds swept through the family's NSW South Coast farm. The pair had been working on a tractor and quad bike about 50 to 70 metres from the main house. In a statement read to the NSW Coroners Court on Tuesday, Janelle Salway described fighting spot fires on the farmhouse steps before searching for her husband and his father. As she called 'where are you' into thick smoke and darkness, she heard Robert faintly saying 'Patrick, Patrick'. 'As I turned the corner, I saw a big fire and I saw it was the tractor,' Ms Salway said. 'I thought Robert

'The nation is in peril': Biden insists even climate change deniers are starting to think this is a real problem as he tours flood damage in Queens with Chuck Schumer and AOC

President Joe Biden on Tuesday warned the nation is in 'peril' because of climate change and argued the bout of extreme weather hitting the country has changed the mind of skeptics on the issue.  'We've got to listen to the scientists, and the economists, and the national security experts. They all tell us this is code red. The nation and the world are in peril. That's not hyperbole. That is a fact. They've been warning us that extreme weather would get more extreme over the decade. And we're living it in real time now,' Biden said during a stop in Queens, New York, to tour damage from Hurricane Ida. He pointed to the wildfires on the West Coast, where he'll head next week to campaign for California Gov. Gavin Newsom, to the storms that damaged the Gulf Coast all the way up to New York and New Jersey on the East Coast.  'What people are seeing across this country from the wildfires in California and the far west, which I'm heading to in a cou

Young adults with richest parents are six times richer than those from poorest families, research shows

Young adults with the richest parents are typically around six times as wealthy themselves as those who come from the poorest families, according to analysis. The Institute for Fiscal Studies explored the impact that wealthier parents have on transferring economic advantages on to their children in the UK. By the time they were aged in their 30s, people born in the 1970s and 1980s, with parents in the wealthiest fifth in their generation, had average net wealth of £107,000, the think-tank said. This was around six times the £18,000 held by those with parents in the poorest fifth in terms of wealth. We need even MORE cash, NHS bosses tell Boris: Chiefs demand £10BILLION a year amid fears bloated health service will soak up the extra money supposedly ring-fenced for social care from historic new tax hike

NHS bosses were given a £30bn handout yesterday as Boris Johnson clobbered Britons with their highest tax burden since the War - and immediately told the PM: 'It's not enough.'  The Health Service will receive the vast majority of the £36billion raised by yesterday's national insurance hike over the next three years, with social care receiving a £5.3billion slice.  But health bosses said the settlement leaves a 'significant shortfall' and warned that millions of patients will still face long delays. The NHS Confederation and NHS Providers, which represent hospitals and health organisations, claimed it would still leave a funding gap of around £3.5billion a year for frontline services in England. They had wanted £10billion a year just to clear the patient backlog and additional costs arising from the pandemic. They also warned that hospitals would be forced into 'impossible choices' about which patients will receive treatment. Ministers had vowed that the
