Colourful New Zealand cricket umpire Billy Bowden was caught up in comedy moment at The Oval when almost did the splits when trying to dodge a Ravi Bopara shot.
The England batsmen was in fine boundary hitting form at the end of the England innings hitting 33 runs off just 13 balls at the end of the innings against Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy match.
Off it goes: Billy Bowden ducks to avoid Ravi Bopara's shot and loses his hat in the processThe chase is on: Bowden goes after his hat that flew off in the wind
Nearly there: Bowden reaches for his hat Taking a tumble: Bowden does the splits as he falls
Falling down: Bowden eventually catches up with his hat but not before falling over
And one of the boundaries that he hit straight over the bowler's head and down the ground for four almost hit the eccentric Kiwi official.
As he ducked to avoid the ball he lost his hat and after failing once to pick it up as it blew across the field, he then slipped for the second time almost doing the splits and ended up on the deck - much to the amusement of the crowd.
Maybe the comedy moment was karma for Billy after giving out Eoin Morgan leg before when it wasn't going to hit a fourth stump, let alone the three actually standing in the ground.
