Coleen Rooney pictured for first time since sister Rosie's tragic death... as her baby bump is beginning to show

It’s been a tough start of the year for Coleen Rooney who, as well as being in the early stages of pregnancy, has had to deal with the death of her sister Rosie who passed away following a life-long illness.

But on Wednesday, the heartbroken WAG was spotted putting on a brave face for the sake of her son Kai as they ran errands.

Not only was it the first time the 26-year-old has been seen out since her upsetting news, it is also one of the first times her growing baby bump has been on display.

Dressed in a khaki Zara coat with studded arm details, the mum-to-be kept warm as she popped out.

Beneath the jacket she wore a pair of tight fitting jeans and a dark grey jumper which showed off her bump.

Being the glamorous mum she is she wore a pair of wedge heels and carried a black handbag.

Coleen, who looked pretty much make-up free, wore her hair which appeared to be redder than usual off her face in a high pony tail.

Her son Kai was on his best behaviour wearing a grey tracksuit with his hood up, looking more and more like his dad. 

The mother and son were without Wayne, who was set to play in a football match that evening.

After scoring the winning goal for Manchester United in the FA Cup against West Ham, a visibly emotional Rooney blew a kiss and raised his arms to the sky - an apparent reference to Rosie McLouglin who died, aged 14, earlier this month.

Rosie, who is the sister of his wife Coleen, died after a lifelong battle with the rare genetic disorder Rett Syndrome.

A statement issued on behalf of her family and Rooney said: 'We are heartbroken, but we are blessed to have had her in our lives.

Rooney, who later missed a penalty in the game, and his wife took out a full page ad in their local newspaper last week to pay further tributes to Rosie.

Coleen, who rushed back from a family holiday in Barbados with three-year-old son Kai to be with Rosie before she died, added: 'I can't get my head round that my special little sister has gone.

'I am going to miss that massive smile that would light up anywhere. An angel sent to us, a sister I never thought I would have.'
