One person is killed and two more suffer life-threatening injuries in Christmas Eve shooting in Charlotte
One person has been killed and five others injured in a shooting in east Charlotte late on Christmas Eve.
The shooting happened around 11pm with one of the victims pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not clear how many were people were shot in the incident but a medic confirmed that two people were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries while three others were also treated for less severe injuries.

Detectives have not yet named the person who was killed and no details about the suspect has been released, nor have any arrests been made.
