Mr Singh was not called an ambulance and took himself to the Royal Perth Hospital emergency department covered in his own blood.

'In this instance it is clear that excessive physical violence was used against our client,' he said.

'The fact that Mr Singh was manhandled by three men, made his psychological wounds even deeper.'

Mr Rukunga said the psychological effects he is going through 'cannot be understated' and is made even worse by his inability to work.

'He believes people are 'laughing' at him when he is in public, he can't sleep, and is showing signs of deep trauma,' he said.

'This is unacceptable behaviour which has had a shocking effect on our client. The security company that employees the guards involved in this assault needs to be held to account.'

A security guard, 21, was sacked and could face jail time over the alleged incident.
