Britney Spears' ex-manager Sam Lutfi releases 2009 voicemails where she begs for help to end conservatorship and says she fears her father will take her kids away

Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi - who her parents claimed exploited her during her mental breakdown - has released four voicemail messages he says she left him in the years after her conservatorship was put in place, begging for his help to undo it and telling him she feared her dad would take her kids away. 

Lutfi was Britney's manager for a brief time in 2007 and 2008 when her mental health deteriorated during a bitter custody battle with Kevin Federline. 

When they applied for the conservatorship in 2008, Britney's father said Lutfi had leeched off of Britney and did not have her best interests at heart. 

He has always denied their claims and despite being the subject of a restraining order which prevents him from contacting Britney, says he is helping to free her. 

On Tuesday night, he posted four voicemail recordings on Instagram, all of which he says are from the singer, after the conservatorship was established. 

He does not give exact dates for all for all of them but some, he says, are in 2009. 

Lutfi says he has shared them before but is reposting them because of the garnered interest in the case. He says he has shown them to attorneys in the past and that they have been 'ignored' by the judges in Britney's case, and undermined by her family as inauthentic. 

Sam Lutfi inserted himself into Britney's inner circle in 2007. He encouraged her to spend her earnings and her parents said he was a piranha who didn't have her best interest at heart. Now, he is sharing voicemail recordings she left him in 2009 asking for help to end the conservatorship

In one, Britney begs: 'It’s Sunday the 18th.  Just so you know I want out of this conservatorship. I’ve been blackmailed by visitation with my babies by the conservatorship.

'I’m confined, restrained, and stripped of my civil rights.

'And I demand the state of California to review this case because I feel it's illegal.. Bye.' 

In another, she says: 'Hi my name’s Britney Spears. I called you earlier.

'I’m calling again because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of eliminating the conservatorship that my father has threatened me several times, that you know, he’ll take my children away. 

'I just want to be guaranteed that everything will be fine with the process and that you guys are taking care of everything, that things will stay the same as far as my custodial time. 

'That’s it, bye.' 

In the third video Lutfi shared, Britney says: 'Hi, this is Britney Spears. 

Lutfi shared four recordings on Instagram on Tuesday night which are from Britney in 2009. He posted them with their transcripts and also shared photos of her with her kids

In the fourth that he shared, she says: 'I am of sound mind and body and feel I am being held against my will. My civil rights have been violated. I want to exercise my constitutional rights.' 

Lutfi has said in the past that he 'failed' Britney. 

'I failed her. I was supposed to protect her from all this, I let her down and we both paid dearly for it – head in hands.

'I'm so sorry,' he tweeted after listening to her June 23 court testimony. 

Britney's mother Lynne considers Lutfi a piranha who was exploiting her daughter and was one of the reasons the conservatorship was put in place to begin with.  

Britney is now being represented by her own attorney in court. 

He has filed the paperwork required to remove her father Jamie as her financial conservator. 

The next court hearing is on September 29.
