Millie is expecting her second child with partner and former MIC co-star Hugo.

The couple are already parents to daughter Sienna, one, who Millie welcomed via C-section in May last year.

As she prepares to give birth to her second daughter, Millie shared intimate details about her first birthing experience with fans on Instagram recently.

She shared a series of photos from Sienna's birth, including one of her wearing hospital scrubs and another of her in a hospital bed with a screen placed across her stomach as she prepared for her C-section.

Millie, who is currently five months pregnant, explained in a lengthy caption: 'I get asked about Sienna’s birth and my c section recovery a lot and as there’s so much to say...

'Sienna was breech so the safest way for her to arrive was an abdominal birth, it was also my birth preference however I know for a lot of mums being told they need a c section when they wanted a vaginal birth is very upsetting.

'I am a planner and I liked knowing when and how Sienna would be delivered. I requested a natural c section which I really recommend if you have a choice. It’s basically a slowed down caesarean but I’d explore this for yourself if interested.'

She continued: ' To be totally honest, yes it did really hurt when the pain killers started to wear off, but to put it into perspective I experienced more pain from breastfeeding and cracked nipples than from my c section!

'In the hours after Sienna arrived I felt very woozy from all the drugs and I was in and out of consciousness. At one point my skin started to itch all over which is apparently a normal reaction and I was given an antihistamine to help.'

Millie described feeling 'weak and unsteady' in the days that followed Sienna's birth and recalled getting emotional in hospital after feeling sore from her surgery and breastfeeding.

She said: ' I didn’t get out of bed until the next day and I did feel very weak and unsteady on my feet. Once I was up I made sure to get out of bed every few hours to walk very slowly around my room to get the blood flow going. Don’t get me started on my swollen ankles!

'I stayed in hospital for two nights as I was really keen to get home and be with Hugo in our newborn bubble. The second morning I had a low point and I remember calling my mum crying, the pain of a raw bleeding nipple combined with being sore from my surgery all got too much.

'My advice would be to make sure someone looking after you has an alarm set for when you can take your next pain medication and they stay on it to help manage it!'

Millie confirmed news she was pregnant again in June and told fans at the time: 'We are so excited to announce that Sienna is going to be a big Sister!

'I couldn’t keep this to myself for much longer and I’m running out of ways to hide my bump! Baby 2 is due later this year.'

As she opened up about suffering from morning sickness and feeling 'exhausted' in her first trimester, proud husband Hugo called Millie his 'hero'.

The pair, who first started dating in the early series of MIC and reconciled years later, tied the knot in 2018.
