Rapper who filmed Holby City actor John Michie's daughter while she died of overdose pens new song about a drug death including lyrics 'she took a pill' and 'money can't hide her pain'

A drug dealing rapper who filmed the daughter of a Holby City actor dying from a drug overdose has written a new song which appears to include lyrics about her death.

Ceon Broughton, 32, was jailed for eight and a half years after giving Louella Fletcher-Michie, the daughter of John Michie, class A drugs and then failing to get help as she died in 2017.

But the rapper walked free after Supreme Court judges overturned his conviction last August.

In his newest track, Maze Runner, Broughton's lyrics appear to refer to the death of his younger girlfriend Louella at Bestival in Dorset.

The track has been uploaded to the music sharing app Soundcloud 15 days ago under his stage name CeonRPG.

The lyrics read: 'Money the major aim. I play life as a game.

'And when it gets too tough I fade away. She know she feel the same.

'And so she took a pill. Money can't hide her pain now.

'Surrounded by the snakes…You made it this far, glad you could see the stars, never would be this hard.'

Other lines include 'In this skin I can't go, break the cage, break the mould' and 'summer her heart has flamed', plus 'you made me this way, I'm too stuck in my ways.'

Broughton gave Louella the hallucinogenic Class A drug 2C-P at the festival in Dorset in 2017.

The rapper was originally convicted after he filmed his younger girlfriend overdosing on his mobile phone for six hours, as she screamed and begged him to call her mother.

The 24-year-old was seen in the harrowing footage growing increasingly agitated as she scratched her skin and attempted to eat thorns.

Clips shown in court during the original trial featured musician Broughton at one point showing himself smiling and playing with a fidget spinner toy as well as plugging his hoodie brand.

The court heard he failed to seek medical attention until it was too late even though a hospital tent was just 400m away.

During the first trial, a court heard how Broughton filmed Louella as she grew 'disturbed, agitated, and then seriously ill' and reportedly called her a 'drama queen' as she lay dying.

A security guard found Louella dead in woodland at Bestival at 1am the next morning on September 11, 2017.

It was the morning of her 25th birthday.

Despite this, Broughton has released three new tracks including Scooma High and Dialing Tones during the past month.

The rapper goes by the alias CeonRPG and featured on a track with grime artist Skepta before his conviction.

He was jailed for manslaughter by gross negligence and supplying a Class A drug in March 2019.

But Broughton, of Enfield, north London, had his conviction quashed at the Court of Appeal last August.

The judges overturned the conviction because they could not be certain that the lack of prompt medical attention caused Louella's death.

After the appeal hearing Broughton's lawyers said he remained 'devastated' by Louella's death.

In a statement, they said: 'The Court of Appeal has today found that Louella's death occurred not as a result of criminal negligence but was instead a tragic accident.

'Ceon remains devastated by her death.

'He has always wished that he could have done more to save her.

'He loved Louella and she him, but he knows that no words will ever be sufficient to convey his sense of responsibility for what happened or to begin to remove the pain that others have been caused.'
