Former President Bill Clinton is now in step with the times, he opened a verified Twitter account on Wednesday night. The 42nd President decided to try the microblogging phenomenon after comedian Stephen Colbert helped the 66-year-old, whose full name is William Jefferson, launch a page with the Twitter handle @prezbillyjeff on his Comedy Central show earlier in April. Mr Clinton's new account, @billclinton, hits a more presidential tone and has already amassed more than 300,00 followers in its first few hours of life. Scroll down for video.
