Speaker tells Commons he's ordered a review of security in Parliament as MPs question whether CCTV was put into Matt Hancock's office 'covertly'

Sir Lindsay Hoyle has ordered a review of parliamentary security amid growing concerns among MPs in the wake of Matt Hancock's resignation following the leaking of CCTV footage.  The Commons Speaker said this afternoon that he had 'directed senior officials to consider what implications there are for security arrangements' in Parliament after the Whitehall leak.    Sir Lindsay said that he will take any 'necessary steps with urgency' to boost security.  Meanwhile, MPs questioned whether a camera in Mr Hancock's private office in the Department of Health and Social Care had been placed there 'covertly'.  Junior Cabinet Office minister Julia Lopez insisted that was not the case and her understanding was 'it was a CCTV camera and it was not a covert device'.  But MPs said 'the more we go into this the more odd it gets' as they warned it is 'totally unacceptable for private conversations' to be recorded.  It came as Cabinet ministers

University of Cincinnati soccer player, 21, 'inhaled carbon monoxide fumes while clinging to boat's swim platform' before drowning, coroner's report reveals

Authorities were initially baffled when healthy, young University of Cincinnati soccer player Ally Sidloski was found after drowning in a lake in Southwest Ohio last month. But a coroner's report released on Friday revealed  the 21-year-old 'inhaled carbon monoxide fumes as she hung on to swim platform of boat' before she drowned on May 22, according to local news station WLWT 5.  Sidloski was seen holding on to the platform of a boat before she disappeared at East Fork State Park, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources . Her body was discovered around 1am the next day. An ODNR press release states that she was not wearing a life vest.  The ODNR led the investigation into the UC Bearcats midfielder's death, an organization spokesperson told DailyMail.com back in May.   UC Bearcats midfielder Ally Sidloski drowned at East Fork Lake in Ohio on May 22.
