Although the public bench and footpath were already there when he moved in, TasNetworks and Telstra pits and poles were installed in December 2019 without notice. Mr Mauceri said the new infrastructure blocked him from using his own driveway.  Mike Mauceri sent an invoice to the Burnie City Council, for $208 a day since he moved in to his property in February 2019 for usage of a footpath and bench within his property When the 62-year-old had a surveyor peg out his property, he discovered the structures were within his land, but not on his land title when he purchased the property. Creator of the AstraZeneca vaccine warns Australia's mixed messages about the effective jab could cost lives

Co-creator of the AstraZeneca vaccine Dame Sarah Gilbert claims that mixed messages from health experts and the federal government has hindered Australia's vaccine rollout.    Dame Gilbert addressed the uptake of AstraZeneca Down Under as debate continues into whether the wider use of the vaccine could have shortened or even prevented the most recent lockdowns in Sydney and Melbourne.  Infections diseases expert at Sydney's Kirby Institute Professor Greg Dore said that Australia will look back on this debacle 'as one of the greatest public health failings in many years'.  'If it's now possible to accelerate vaccination in Australia and save lives by getting people vaccinated quickly, then it won't be the greatest public health disaster that the country's ever seen,' Dame Gilbert said about this statement in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.  Dame Sarah Gilbert , co-architect of the AstraZeneca vaccine, has said that mixed messages has hind

Four million donated AstraZeneca vaccine doses will be going directly from the UK to 13 nations, while another five million will be donated via the World Health Organization's Covax scheme Britain will this week begin delivering the first batch of the 100million coronavirus vaccines it has promised poorer nations, the Government announced today.  The first batch — consisting of excess AstraZeneca jabs — will be shipped to 'vulnerable' nations and Commonwealth allies including Jamaica, Kenya and the Philippines. Leaders of the world's major industrialised countries at the G7 summit in Cornwall last month pledged more than 1billion jabs to poorer countries. Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed the UK's contribution to the 1billion dose pledge is 100million between now and next June.  Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab today argued it was 'crucially important' for all nations to vaccinate their populations.  And in a message to western countries who have unused s

Onlookers said the ex-health secretary, who quit after footage emerged of him kissing an aide in his office, was handed the belongings by his wife, Martha, on the doorstep of the London property on Thursday. Father-of-three Mr Hancock, 42, wore a baseball cap pulled down over his eyes – but not his wedding ring – as he paid a brief visit to the property.  A Nespresso coffee machine was among the possessions he loaded into a dark Audi parked outside. Millions of the elderly may never recover from the 'severe' mental and physical harms of lockdown, a report warns. Age UK surveyed nearly 15,000 older people and their carers and said that 16 months of social isolation, immobility and the loss of normal routines have left many with 'deep scars'. The charity is now urging ministers to ensure sufficient funding to cater for pensioners' increased needs in order to help them make the 'best possible recovery'. This includes money to clear record NHS waiting lists, for mental health support and for help with dressing, cooking and washing.
