Chinese mother tries to kill her one-year-old son then hands herself in to police so she could be reunited with her jailed husband
A Chinese mother tried to suffocate her one-year-old child in order to be reunited with her husband in prison.
Ou Mou, 20, walked into a police station in Renshou Town in Meishan, Sishuan Province, and showed officers a video clip on her phone appearing to show a young child being suffocated.
She then led them back to her home where they found Zhang Yuxuan unconscious but still just about breathing.

He was rushed to hospital and after treatment was allowed home to be with his grandmother.

Regulation meant she was unable to see him before his sentencing and she even apparently asked prison guards if they could be locked up together if she committed a crime.
They said no but Ou still went home and attempted to kill her son.
