A Maine man was arrested after he barged into a McDonalds with a chainsaw and chased workers around before stealing food and and a drink.
Alice Sweet, 26, was detained by officers with the Westbrook Police Department at a nearby Fireside Inn in Portland, police shared in a press release.
Multiple calls were made to police at around 3.30pm reporting that Sweet had been chasing people inside and outside the McDonald's.
An investigation found that Sweet had gone behind the counter as employees were preparing food, repeatedly revving up the chainsaw.
The suspect did steal a drink and food from the scene before leaving the fast food joint, police shared.
When the manager confronted Sweet out in the parking lot, he began chasing the employee with the chainsaw. As he fled the scene, Sweet damaged two vehicles.

Police arriving at the scene found Sweet at the VIP Tires on Riverside Street. He ran from officers but was quickly detained, police said in the release.
Witnesses at the scene snapped a photo of Sweet as he went on his rampage at the Portland McDonald's.

'This could have easily turned into a very different night for my family,' Bobbi-Jo Grenier said in her comment.
Sweet was charged with robbery, criminal mischief, refusing to submit to arrest and violation of conditions of release.
