Last picture of tragic mother-of-two: Woman, 51, who fell to her death from fourth-floor London flat on Christmas Day is seen hugging gift she got from her daughter just an hour earlier

The final picture of a mother-of-two who fell from a fourth-floor flat on Christmas morning shows her smiling as she opens a gift from her daughter less than an hour before her death. 

Sharon Anne Daly-O'Dwyer, 51, had been spending Christmas Day with her family at her apartment in Shepherd's Bush, west London, when she fell.

In the picture the barmaid can be seen clutching on to a designer bag her daughter Taylor Daly had given her. 

Family say the barmaid, who had lost her job during the pandemic and had struggled to find another for eight months, had left the room to 'go for a smoke in her dressing gown'.

Shortly after the photograph was taken, family members rushed downstairs to help. They called paramedics after finding her unresponsive. However ambulance crews were unable to save her. 

The Met Police has today confirmed they are not treating her death as suspicious.

Speaking about the incident, Ms Daly-O'Dwyer's heartbroken daughter, Taylor, 22, told the Mirror: 'She was really happy with her presents.

'She said she was going to go back to bed before making dinner but would just have a cigarette.

'We were inside for two minutes when we heard a bang. I ran down to try and help her but it was pretty obvious she had died, she wasn't breathing and her eyes were open.' 

Taylor, who described Sharon as 'the best mum', said she had no idea how the fall had happened.

The heartbroken family have now set up a fundraising page to help pay for Ms Daly-O'Dwyer's funeral.

The GoFundMe page, which was set up yesterday on behalf of her daughter Taylor, has already raised more than £10,000 pounds.

On the page, the family said: 'It's with such a heavy heart and eyes full of tears I'm having to even begin writing this. 

'I am appealing to all friends, family and everyone who's heart Sharon touched, or anyone's pint she pulled.

'We are raising as much money as we can to help Taylor and Drew and the rest of her family pay for a beautiful send off and funeral she deserves.' 

'Sharon was such a beautiful, fun, loving and amazing woman, everyone who knew her, loved her and always had such a good time with her!

'We can't even put into words what the world will be like without her and her beautiful children and grandson will continue her memory and make her even more proud than they have already.

'Sharon I love you like a second mum and will always do everything I can for Taylor and Drew.'

The heartbroken family have now set up a fundraising page to help pay for Ms Daly-O'Dwyer's funeral

Family say Ms Daly-O'Dwyer was a barmaid and 'the life and soul of pubs' in Shepherd's Bush.

They said she had lost her job as a result of the pandemic in March and had been struggling to find work ever since.

After seeing her on the ground, her 19-year-old son Drew Daly, who studies psychology at Loughborough University, went straight back indoors and hugged his nephew Harley, one. 

A Met Police spokesperson today told MailOnline: 'Police were called to an address in Shepherd's Bush, W12 at 10.09am on Friday, 25 December.

'Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and found a 51-year-old woman with injuries consistent with a fall from height. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

'Her death is not being treated as suspicious.' 

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We were called on Christmas Day at 10.04am to reports of an incident at White City Estate, Australia Road, W12.

'We sent resources including an ambulance, medics in response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.

'Sadly, despite our efforts a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.'
