Boy, 17, 'assaults and kills his deaf mother' at their Seattle home before calling 911 to report domestic dispute
A 17-year-old boy allegedly assaulted and killed his deaf mother at their apartment in Washington state Tuesday morning before calling 911 to report a domestic violence dispute.
Medics were called to a residence in Seattle's Northgate area around 8.20am.
First responders arrived to the scene in the 900 block of NE 105th Street after the teenager called 911 to report a domestic violence assault.

When officers arrived, the teen was sitting outside and admitted he was the suspect, police said. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene

Neighbors told KIRO 7 that the victim was deaf and her son often translated for her.
They also said the mother and son had lived in the neighborhood for about two years.
Investigators have not publicly said how the woman died or revealed a motive for the killing.
The suspect was taken to the King County Jail, where he is expected to face charges in connection with the slaying. It was not clear if bond has been set in the case.
The circumstances leading up to the deadly assault are under investigation.
Authorities have not said if anyone else was inside the home when the attack occurred.
