Four men are arrested for murder after a bullet-riddled BODY is found in trunk of car when cops pull over a vehicle for speeding in North Carolina
Four North Carolina men are facing murder, drug and weapons charges after a police officer who pulled their car over for speeding early Monday discovered a bullet-riddled body in the trunk.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said a Roanoke Rapids police officer stopped the car at around 1am near the intersection of U.S. Highway 158 and Georgia Avenue.
Authorities said the officer opened the trunk of the car and found the body of 23-year-old Trevon Fields, of Roanoke Rapids.

The bullet-riddled body has been identified as that of 23-year-old Trevon Fields
'Hundreds of traffic stops and I have never in my career run across something like this,' Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Bobby Martin told CBS17. 'I had to collect myself for a moment because it’s not something that, as a 25-year veteran. I have heard about in this area.'
Ralik Robinson, 22, Trevathann Myquan Shearin, 20, and Shantron Avondre Person, 20, all of Roanoke Rapids, and Deluntae Jaequon Squire, 23, of Halifax, were all arrested and charged with murder.
Person was also charged with concealment of death, carrying a concealed weapon, and speeding.
Robinson was charged with concealment of death, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of schedule VI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Shearin was charged of concealment of death and carrying a concealed weapon, and Squire was charged with concealment of death.

Fields, who had a criminal record, is survived by his six siblings
They are being held without bond and scheduled for court appearances on Wednesday.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that Fields had likely been killed in Halifax County. No motive has been established so far.
Police recovered from the suspects' vehicle four handguns, 4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Fields is survived by his six siblings. Past news reports reveal that he had a criminal record in North Carolina, which included charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods, according to rrspin.com.
