Female DoorDash driver is caught on camera stealing a family's eight-week-old puppy while making a delivery in Michigan
A female DoorDash driver has been caught on camera stealing a family's eight-week-old puppy while making a delivery in Michigan.
The 26-year-old woman was captured setting a bag of food down and then petting the terrier named Bella on the porch of the Detroit-area home.
After stroking the puppy a few times the unnamed perpetrator then lifts the dog up, walks off to her car and drives away.
Bella's owner Ashley Swinton told WXYZ: 'You can see her pet the dog, rub the dog seeing if it was vicious. Then scoop the dog up and take the dog to her car.'

After being contacted about its driver's theft, DoorDash said it worked with local law enforcement to investigate.
'The video evidence, in this case, is very compelling,' said Detective Brian Price of Warren, Michigan, police.
'Pretty shocking when you watch the video and see it happen right in front of you.'
The woman's name hasn't been released, but Door Dash says it has permanently deactivated the delivery driver from its platform.
The 26-year-old woman has admitted to her crime but has yet to be charged.
The puppy, which was bought as a Christmas present for Swinton's children, was taken from the family home.
Swinton said the children are delighted to have Bella back home and thanked the police for their work.
